I had spoken to a few lawyers prior to hiring Ms Jackson, her consultation was the first one that made me feel heard and understood; like she truly saw the big and small picture. I felt like an actual person instead of another client. Thanks to her the court process was simple and even my minor stress points were given attention and care through the whole process. I believe she specializes in custody, but she handled my whole divorce and put down all the mischaracterized accusations thrown my way. I have a fair and equitable post divorce and suffered no serious damages to credit or other typical post divorce losses. I got the 50/50 custody arrangement I petitioned for and see my child often, and have equal authority towards her well being. I would hire Jozefa again in a heart beat, and truly believe that if I hired anyone else I would not have been successful in defending myself.

Sometimes in life things don’t go as expected. I ended up dealing with a failed relationship. Adding custody and child support to the mix. I had so many sleepless nights and petty arguments. I’ve gone at one time three months without seeing my son. Everything i tried to do just to get one tiny win and make myself feel a little better some cop or lawyer said “you can’t do that” or “That’s just the way it is”. I felt like the whole system was made just to keep me from having a normal life ever again. All of this while hemorrhaging money! I dug myself into I deep hole and had no idea how to get out of it. Jozefa knows what she’s doing and does it to the best of her ability, always with the children in mind. I went though a very nasty divorce and was terrified of losing custody of my children. I had been to 2 other lawyers before finding Jozefa and felt that neither of them listened to me, gave my case the energy and focus it needed, and both seemed more interested in billing me for every little thing than in actually helping me. One of them was charging me for every phone call I made to the receptionist asking to leave another message because my lawyer hadn’t gotten back to me yet! With them “representing” me, my ex managed to intentionally lose his job which meant less support forcing me (stay-at-home mom) to go back to work, convinced the court he should be taking care of the children while I worked instead of daycare, then used the fact that he was caring for them all day every day to get his support lowered even more. Had I not found Jozefa when I did I would have soon been paying my ex and he would have had primary custody of my children. Jozefa is fair with her billing and worth every penny. She’ll listen, she’ll guide you, she’ll fight for you, and she’ll do her very best to win for you but most importantly, she’ll do what’s right for the children. I’m happy to call her my attorney and proud to call her my friend.

Jozefa saved my home. After having another lawyer for 3years, I was about to loose my home through divorce. Within 9 months of hiring her my divorce settled and I still have my home. Jozefa is hands down the best attorney I have ever worked with. In the past 10 years I have had three other attorneys and she is by far the best. I wish I would have met her the first time for custody because I believe if I had things would have been much different than what they were. It took a lot of work but she got my situation fixed. The first time I went to custody court with Jozefa, she showed me that I made the right decision by hiring her. She was so prepared and you could definitely see how much time and effort she put into my case. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have primary custody of my son and he wouldn't be thriving the way he is. She is a shark in the court room and has been 100 percent honest with me and hard working for me since the first day I met her. I do not ordinarily write reviews like this, but I just have to say that Jozefa is without a doubt the best attorney I have had the privilege to know and use. I am a repeat customer and after going through a divorce the first time, I did not think I would have to use her services again. She was amazing the first time and just as good if not better the second time. She and I met quickly after I contacted her and she went above and beyond the call of duty to get me quick results. She came by the day she got a decision from the judge and personally handed me the papers. she was there when my husband came by and was a rock for me in getting him to leave the premises. She never left until he was gone. Then in an additional show of support and because she did not want me to be alone, she came back later in the day just because she did not want me to be alone in case he came back. I trust her explicitly and her advice has always been sound and professional. i have recommended her to several of my friends and all have been completely satisfied with her results. Hopefully, I will never have to use her services again, but if I do I would not hesitate. She knows what she is doing, knows the law and always acts in a professional way.
