My wife and I were in a vehicle accident in October of 2019. We were hit head on by a vehicle and sustained major injuries. We were taken to the hospital and then transferred to a rehabilitation hospital. Over all my wife was in 12 days and I was in 14 days. Then in December I developed a sub-massive pulmonary embolism and ended up back in the hospital for another 5 days. While we were in the hospital in October, our adult children looked at a few law firms for us. When we able to get out and about with some help, we set up an appointment with Nicholas Veronis of Hagelgans & Veronis. Niko explained what we could expect in our case. He did this in a way that we could understand, he was very caring and professional. That and the number of years of his experience, we decided to retain him. Under Pennsylvania’s No Fault, the medical went through my auto insurance, which I had $100,000 on each of us. Needless to say I hit my amount quickly and then it went to my regular health insurance. As it turns out, the vehicle that caused the accident, had state minimum coverage, but I had good coverage on my policy, which had coverage for under insured on my policy. Niko checked my policy and found that at one point, I had increased coverage on others and not myself. He said that my insurance carrier should have had me sign a form acknowledging that I didn’t want the coverage on me increased. He researched this and my insurance carrier did not have this form signed. He was able to have my carrier increase that amount to where it should have been, I just needed to pay the premium from when the change was made, which increased the eligible amount for pain and suffering to more than double of what it was. Our case with my insurance company was settled, I feel quickly. The case with the other driver’s insurance company will take a little longer, because of the other parties involved. We are very pleased with the outcome. Niko and his staff were a huge part of it. They gathered all are medical records (mine were in two binders, about a foot thick each), other documents and kept us informed every step of the way. If we had any questions or concerns, they were there with a quick response. I would not wish what had happened to us on anyone. But, would highly recommend Hagelgan & Veronis to anyone that finds themselves in this type of situation. On another note, my children and myself, rechecked our insurance policies and made some changes to them to make sure we are covered properly. It has been a learning experience for my family. Thank you Niko! As you can tell by my name, I enjoy putting on a Red Suit in December. I was not able last year, but hope to this year.

A great law firm. A lawyer came out to my home after the accident and explained the process of pursuing a personal injury case.
