What does one ask of a lawyer? Frequently, when faced with legal challenges, disputes and possible incarceration, a client demands perfection from the attorney, and by extension, the legal system. When a deviation occurs between such elevated expectations and reality, the client will regress to the baser instinct of placing blame on the most conspicuous party: their attorney; no blame will be placed on the client themself, the legal system and the intrinsic nature of their case. The legal system is far from perfect, but the work ethic, genuine care and attention given to the client, and the extensive expertise provided by Christopher Papa are. I have had the opportunity to observe and work with Chris, and I can provide a first hand testimony to his thorough work with each case and client. Most attorneys finish their work for the day, and leave the file at the office door; however, much to the detriment of his time of well deserved relaxation, Chris never stops working and frequently remains at the office into the late hours, and spends his nights and weekends perfecting his arguments, briefs, etc. No attorney cares more and puts forth more effort into each case than Chris. Unlike most attorneys, Chris makes himself available for calls during non-office hours at no cost to the client, and he will always provide great attention to you and listen to your concerns, regardless of the hour. I have never met a more compassionate and caring attorney who displays genuine attention to each case. This is of no mention of his expertise in law, particularly in legal writing and research. Chris and his father Att. Angelo Papa frequently consult on cases, which combines the benefit of extensive experience as well as the aforementioned skills of Chris to each case. This may at times require Angelo to take the lead on aspects of the case, while Chris remains in control of the file and intimately involved in all aspects thereof. An analogy may be presented: If you experience a trauma emergency, you will receive care from a trained trauma surgeon, but for the benefit of your care (putting your best interests first) he may call in a cardiothoracic surgeon for aspects of surgery. The team work of these two highly experienced professionals will provide you with the best representation possible; trust them. Unfortunately, the legal system is not perfect, and you (the client) may not get exactly the deal or settlement that you desired. But what is often not considered by the client initially, is that desire was never possible. But you can be confident that the settlement that you receive from the work of attorney Chris Papa is absolutely the best that can be derived thanks to his hard work. I highly recommend Att. Chris Papa. He and his father are the finest attorneys one can retain!

You infact know who this is about my fiancé and I share this email and you called me 5 TIMES after I placed this review I have screen shots for proof. NO ABUSE HERE AT ALL it’s all absolute TRUTH. I’ll take it down when I get my money back because it was a big waste of money. 1400 dollars out of 2000 for $100 dollars worth of work and didn’t even get the attorney who we hired. Instead get an attorney who was late couldn’t even find the courtroom didn’t know anything about the case and made me look bad. Had another lawyer tell me today that this isn’t anything he hasn’t heard he doesn’t recommend this office either. He said one woman paid $4000 for her case and the attorney that appeared did not even know how to represent her and she spent her money for nothing! Sounds familiar, I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!!! Unless you have money to donate. PUBLIC DEFENDER WILL DO YOU BETTER JUSTICE AND WONT CHARGE YOU AN ARM AND A LEG FOR $100 WORTH of work. Lots of talk. Wouldn’t even go to the courthouse to get our documents! Absolutely no abuse here just a warning to someone considering your representation. Have a great day DONT GO HERE YOULL LOOSE YOUR MONEY BIG TIME!!!!! So this is by far the worst place ever. Paid 2000 dollars for a lawyer (Christopher papa) that didn’t do anything. He told us all this stuff that he was going to do for us to make us believe it would happen. Then after the hearing he told us completely different stuff then what he told us before he had our money. And to top it off he sent his father to my hearing and didn’t even show up himself and his father had no idea in the world what he was doing or talking about. Big load of bs if you ask me. My new lawyer told me that they do this to people all the time SO DONT GO HERE

In Reference to the last derogatory comment ( Mark Hanson ) toward and in regards to Angelo Papa and his Law Practice : This is a total contradictory, inaccurate, and an unfounded misconstrued opinion of the this individual. The opinion of this individual seems to be a vehement retaliation in lieu of following the Attorney's guidance in his circumstance and case. Based on our experience in a Family litigation matter, Angelo Papa's court demeanor and aggressive arguments are always prepared for his ( our) court defense hearings. Angelo Explains EVERYTHING to the client ( my son), IF that client is willing to listen and allow Angelo to Litigate as he was hired to do. ALL Documents and Notices regarding a case are emailed to the client that Angelo is defending as soon as they are received from the Judge or the Court. Angelo also is very generous with his time. He does offer Free consultation, and at times with my Son, has spent well over an hour or more to outline the facts, apply the law, look for the fastest and most efficient legal procedures to develop a winning case, like motion court to get the case in court within days. Once that is accomplished, he ensured that his defense and argument was written up, presented to the court in written form so that the judge WOULD NOT forget or get distracted when the case is scheduled. Once he got his turn to present the case, he EXPRESSED IT with passion and facts, making the judge "see" my son's position and his Plea which successfully allowed for the presiding Judge to logically and/or legally rule favorably. In addition, Angelo also presented a cost/benefit analysis estimate, based on his 30 year Court Litigation Experience, of my son's chances to have a favorable outcome with winning his argument. He reviewed all options BEFORE We paid anything. He also has a flexible fee structure which permitted my son to pay with a credit card or a check. Angelo offered to let my son pay only the first Phase so we had a chance to evaluate the file, the facts, and their office to determine if he wanted to proceed. This is Genuine consideration and concern for the Client / Person, NOT just another number on the docket for a "case". Angelo and his Staff are also very agile and accommodating at doing short notice work. They not only handle emergencies, they are able "to create them" so that his client can get back in court to address the Opposition. They are clearly litigators. They are Professionals in Court and are Exemplary at accomplishing the task at hand once a client's case is scheduled. Based on my Son's personal experience, I find no basis or value in the unfounded opinion of the disgruntled individual's negative post about Angelo and his Firm. It is my hope and intention in this rhetorical response to disarm and discredit the comments of that individual. My son and I could not let this pass without doing nothing and allowing someone's angered opinion stand in the way of Angelo's Integrity in this manner. I perform thorough research before selecting professionals to advocate for and assist my family and I; be this in legal representation, medical matters, etc. With that said, after researching attorneys in the Lawrence county area with respect to years of experience in practice, case history, client reviews, overall legal knowledge and moral character, attorney Angelo Papa made a positive impression. First, to provide a bit of background information, attorney Papa has been practicing law for over 25 years as a prosecutor with a 90% conviction rating, and with his own practice continuing today. This indicates substantial experience and insight into both the prosecutorial and defense aspects of criminal and civil law. After speaking with attorney Papa, the vast knowledge gained over this career is evident. I was thoroughly impressed not only with his knowledge of the subject matter, but also his adaptability to critically analyze information specific to each case (and respective components thereof) to decide and advise on the best possible strategy to handle said matters. This is where I have seen a few negative reviews from former clients (either clearly stated or sub textually). It has been stated in reviews that attorney Papa did not get the client custody or lost for the client, etc. As I have had the opportunity to observe attorney Papa, and have had experience in and understand proceedings in the legal system owing to pre-law courses, I can offer insight into these statements, and hopefully dispel reservations other potential clients may have. The legal system within the context of civil or criminal law will not cater to you, even if you believe that you are in the right, or on the side of justice, or whatever cliché you choose to suit your cause. Therefore, what I am about to say may come as a shock to some: usually, you will not have a guarantee to “win” your case. Often times, particularly in the criminal justice system, a compromise in the form of a plea agreement is reached. I am discussing these facts as I believe it is important to note that many clients mistakenly retain legal counsel believing that they will obtain all that they desire from the legal system. Attorney Papa will discuss the specifics of your case, and he will exhaustively question details of the subject matter. He will very clearly and honestly discuss all possible options for you and recommend a course of action. Many clients often do not agree with the recommended course of action because their ideal vision of the outcome does not match the reality. In this situation, I believe one should defer to his many years of experience to suppress any reservations. Believe me when I tell you that he will work for you and will achieve the best possible outcome for you and your case. This attribute of keeping the client’s best interest may also take the form of conversation and interaction with opposing council. Therefore, if it is observed that attorney Papa is friendly with opposing council or the judge, this is due to the necessity of maintaining good relations with those with whom you will ultimately be making a deal. The staff of attorney Papa is equally professional, helpful and personable. Prompt notifications of court dates, meetings, motions, etc. were some of the many aspects of this office and staff that impressed me when working with attorney Papa. Additionally, there is a clearly defined professionalism exhibited by the staff, specifically regarding confidentiality. At times, my calls were not immediately returned by attorney Papa, but he always contacted me within the normal office hours to discuss legal matters. Also, he treats you like a person and will work with you with payment if you are having financial difficulties. As a final note, an applicable testimony to his moral character is the substance abuse network that he has founded. Attorney Papa has developed an integrative program with physicians, and other professionals to treat drug addiction and prevent relapse instead of feeding these individuals to the overcrowded prison system.

Please read reviews on Avvo the lawyer directory. We hired this man and he acts as if he got everyone in town their jobs. Everyone worked for him and he has his way with everyone. He gets your money and then you’re in for a ride!! He never returns call. He has you do ALL your own work through email where all he has to do is motion form it and file it. That’s IF he files it. If you have child custody or divorce, forget it!! You’re better off defending yourself. Emergency motions for special relief, good luck. He will not do ANY of those. He will promise you the stars. He will get you nothing. He will tell you that YOU need to resend the emails in a certain format and blah blah blah. It’s his lazy way. He adds so many hours to your billing report. All the proof you need. He continues everything. He will NOT fight at a hearing, he will get you to believe HE came up with the agreement and that it is best to follow his advice and then come back STRONG later. He always agrees with the other parties attorney, always. You want to pay someone to hang out with the other party and not fight for the people that pay him, this is your guy. If you question ANYTHING, he acts as if he will drop your case or asked to be withdrawn as counsel. He tells you he never received emails or calls. His staff loses paperwork and he yells at you for it. Then when you resend the email to call him out, with original sent date, he never admits any wrongdoing. He once would not return calls for over three weeks. He said he never received any and when a screenshot was sent showing all the calls and times he just changes to something else. Schedule an appointment over the phone where he will talk to you instead of having you come in, (because he wants to save you a trip) and he will have his lady call and reschedule EVERY time. He’s always in Mercer County court or here or there. He prints confidential emails out and let’s everyone know your attorney client privileged business. I have proof. Once he pocket dialed and was heard talking trash and cussing about us after we left his office. His criminal defense is a hoot. He charges thousands and thousands of dollars and says to pay a certain discounted rate up front and then does NOTHING but continue continue continue. He has no care except for money. He is the WORST attorney I’ve ever come across. He is worse than a court appointed. Ask anyone in New Castle other than his office staff and people he has work for him about him. These positive reviews are suspect too. Look who a couple are from......employees. Will lose you everything that he can due to his spineless ways in court. It is a FACT!! Beware of this man. If he will get recognition in the paper or in a public way for doing something for someone, he’s all about it. Don’t be a woman or man going through a divorce with a child or children. You’re done.
