This group I highly reccomend! I have been working with Sam over the past year + and he has been very professional, communicative and transparent.

I underwent employee discrimination in a hostile work environment for some highly sensitive issues for years.. It felt aweful! As a result I was wrongfully terminated. I initially met up w/Samuel Wilson & Nathaniel Peckham. From the start I felt extremely comfortable w/them despite the sensitivity & knew this was the right firm to take my case. They were very empathetic, as well as informative about the process. They reviewed my case & took me on pro-bono w/a very fair agreement. I was slightly disappointed when my attorney assigned to the case was switched to another female attorney as she was a bit difficult to work with & I knew Sam had what it took. I'm not sure what happened but suddenly she was no longer w/the firm so another attorney was left to pick up where she left off. This made me a bit nervous but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. In the end it all worked out for the best. I ultimately ended up assigned to Seth Carson Esq. who picked up the pieces & was the absolute best!!! He worked extremely hard to get me the justice I deserved. I know it wasn't easy as my previous place of employment is unfortunately known as a highly prestigious & large University. On top of that, I completely trusted Seth more than some people I've known my entire life, which is extremely important w/an attorney/client relationship. Even though money can not fix the emotional scars my ex-employers left behind on me, I received a fair settlement for my lost wages along w/payment for the emotional distress. In the end, I had no regrets. I felt proud & happy that I finally stood up for myself. It gave me back the confidence my ex-employers took away from me. Yet I could have never done it w/o Seth Carson, whom I will always be appreciative & grateful for. Thank you, you all are truly amazing & felt almost like a family. I actually miss you guys.

I went through a really rough time at work, between being Harassed, then getting pregnant and it getting worse, I was at the end of the rope. I contacted Derek Smith Law Group. Caroline was wonderful, but then Patrick took over my case. He was amazing at keeping me informed, didn't get upset that I had 100 questions, even if they seemed out of the blue. Or the million emails I left asking for updates, even when I knew there wasn't one, because these cases take years. So after a little over 2 years, we settled. It wasn't what we are going for, but I am still so grateful that it's over and we won. The company had to face the facts. He took the time to explain everything to me, through all the proceedings, so I wasn't completely out of place. I can't say enough good things about this law firm. Even though we met under unfortunate circumstances, I would recommend them!
