I’ve worked with Raul from 2014 to 2017 for a civil lawsuit against a 4 year college in the greater Philadelphia area for violating my Title IX rights. I had known about his prior accomplishments, particularly aiding students writing the nationally monumental Title IX complaint in 2013, making him an unquestioned top choice to handle my case. It was not easy to come forward with
details, let alone make the decision to pursue action against a place I had held such high regard for, but Raul was patient, understanding, and held utmost professionalism during his handling of the case.
Raul’s definition of a successful case goes well beyond negotiating terms for a favorable courthouse outcome. He cares for his clients. Raul changed how I perceive the legal profession for the better. He taught me that the law exists to protect its members of society and no life is exempt from meeting society’s expectation. I cannot reiterate how much praise I have for Raul and cannot thank
him enough for his work that put me back in the driver’s seat in my life. I highly recommend Raul for anyone facing student misconduct.

My experience with Raul is extraordinary. I am a pro se litigant (see Harnois v Umass Dartmouth) in a Title IX suit, and sought legal representation. It should be noted I am the only pro se litigant who survived a 12b6 MTD. Though Raul is not licensed to practice in Massachusetts, he worked tirelessly to help me find counsel (including himself) as part of a legal team to represent me in Massachusetts. Unfortunately the complexity of my case precluded the considered attorneys from taking my case on a contingency basis or in consideration of 42USC1988 (statute covering fees). If my case was within the jurisdiction of his license, I would seek legal counsel from Raul without hesitation. Finally, Raul cares about me as a person. I am not a set of facts that could be applied for a settlement to his benefit. Not only is Raul an attorney I would seek for his competence but also because I believe he cares about my personal welfare. Compassion in an attorney is rare. If you have a Title IX matter, you should hunt Raul down and discuss your case.
