Immediately after consulting with Gary, I knew he was the right choice for me. Aside from being a knowledgeable and reliable attorney, he has a reassuring and supportive presence about him. Although he was sometimes slow to email me back, he always responded to calls and texts promptly. He was also consistent about keeping me up to date via detailed letters after each encounter. Gary devoted a lot of time and effort to my long and drawn out case, and his reasonable fee covered all of the costs. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth over the course of those 11+ months. Every time we spoke in person, I felt comforted and knew that I was in good hands. Gary has a way of being forthright without being blunt or intimidating, and his candor is softened by a sense of optimism and determination to get the best outcome possible, even if that means more work for him. I felt like Gary truly had my best interests at heart. He also seems to have a good relationship with a lot of important people (most notably, the judge involved with my case) which doesn't hurt. In the end, he managed to get a very favorable outcome for me, and while it wasn't the best case scenario, it was worlds better than I ever thought it would be. I would recommend Gary to anyone looking for an attorney with knowledge, experience, compassion, and integrity.

I contacted Gary Gerson around Dec. 1st, 2017. I had a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge from 2011 in which I had never gone to court. So in addition to the misdemeanor I had a failure to appear bench warrant. 6 years had passed, I live 5 hours away from Pittsburgh, and somehow dealing with this old charge lost priority in my life. I had been given a good sales job offer, pending that I get this old case closed. The difficult part, I only had until Jan. 1 to get this case closed in order to accept this job. Given the holidays this was a difficult task. I would need at least two court appearances, one to lift the warrant and another to address the charge. The first appearance Dec. 8th lifted the warrant, and I was given a second court date set for Feb 26th. I would've lost my chance at the job offer if Gary hadn't gotten my case expedited. Gary got my court date expedited and settled from a misdemeanor to a summary offense. I ended up with the minimum fine and the case closed by the 3rd week of Dec. And I got the job. Gary was straightforward, and took the time to explain the court system as it is different in PA than in my home state. Gary and was diligent in his work regarding my case. I am completely satisfied in Gary's work, and would recommend him to anyone seeking criminal defense legal counsel or advice.

I was in Pittsburgh visiting a friend when I was cited with one count of meeting/overtaking a school bus. I was aware of the seriousness of the charge- fines, points on my driver’s license, and possible suspension. I also held my own concerns over potential implications this could have on my newly obtained nursing license. Mr. Gerson was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He quickly responded to any emails, calls, or text- once even taking my call while he was in Florida. He walked me through possible outcomes and what to expect in court, soothing some of my anxiety. During the hearing Mr. Gerson provided evidence showing obstruction to my line-of-sight where the incident occurred. He also spoke of my character as a caregiver and my new career. Gary was awesome! We hired him for our son who had a PFA and an ICC filed against him along with being arrested. At our 1st meeting, my son told him "I just want this to go away and be done with". Gary accomplished that - without us ever appearing before a judge!! Justice prevailed for my son thanks to Gary. He's my go-to attorney if I ever need one. Thanks again Gary!
