After seeking for a divorce attorney and having consultations with at least three other attorneys, I was feeling skeptical about where to turn, until I sat down to google for "Best Divorce Attorneys Near Me". It was then that I came across Maribeth Blessing, LLC, not too far down the list, and right away I felt she was the one. When I sat down in her office for a consultation, I felt that I could put all my trust in her. I was able to allow her to take my case into her hands and trust that whatever she would do would be the best thing for me. Without her I don't know how I would've made it through one of the most painful and difficult times in my life. She stood by me and I felt like I became stronger through the process. I am so very grateful I found Maribeth Blessing. Maribeth is a very fine lawyer. She is very kind, but firm. She takes her cases seriously. She's upfront, precise, and dedicated. I was a PA-licensed attorney for ten years when Maribeth handled my divorce case. Maribeth was very respectful of my legal skills, while at the same time effectively guiding through the areas of divorce and property law that were foreign to me. Maribeth was a tireless and highly effective advocate, particularly matching wits and advocacy skills with a crafty (and somewhat dishonest) opposing counsel. Maribeth helped me save legal fees where she knew I could provide my own counsel reviewing documents -- yet at the same time she saved me countless cost overall by driving my divorce case to settlement fairly quickly. I have come across many family law attorneys in my lengthy legal career, and I have never encountered one as skillful, masterful in her area of expertise, and collegial as Maribeth Blessing.

From my initial evaluation with Maribeth, she intuitively understood the dynamics of my relationship with my children's father and realized I had been badly mistreated. I hired her soon after. Over the next three years, my ex threw every kind of low blow threatening, nasty legal maneuver at me that he could. Maribeth was there the whole way to defend me, protect my rights, and block his efforts to intimidate me. She never did something she knew I was perfectly capable of doing myself, or engaged in any other attempts to gauge me for more money. Initially, I was very anxious, a typical traumatized individual. She responded to every email and phone call quickly, knowing that I was prone toward panicking. She always accepted the payments I was able to make and never told me that she would not represent me if I did not pay in full. She realized I was making every good faith effort to pay her, and she worked with me as a result. Eventually, my custody trial lasted several years with 6 trial dates. Maribeth represented me at each trial date fully prepared, deeply knowledgeable of the issues and evidence at hand. The case was eventually ruled in my favor and my ex filed an appeal. Though this was not her field of expertise, she did an enormous amount of personal research, in order to continue to represent me to the best of her abilities. This woman takes enormous pride in her work and genuinely cares about her clients. As a result of her efforts, my custody was maximized. My ex's appeal was dismissed. Most importantly, through our ongoing legal battles, my ex lost his ability to continuously harass and bully me through the legal system , knowing I have a top lawyer, proactive, and very knowledgeable about the law, protecting my best interests. I became much stronger and was able to stand up to him in ways that I had never felt able to do before. Maribeth not only saved my life, but protected my children's future because this process completely changed the dynamics of my relationship with my ex. I am able to stand up to him to protect the best interest of my children. Today, I am happier than I have ever been. I have custody of my children. We live our lives, and I no longer have the specter of an abusive person hanging over me. Maribeth literally put her heart and soul into helping me get out of a nightmare, and I will never forget how much she was there when I needed her the most. I can't say enough about Maribeth Blessing. She has not only represented me as my attorney but has also through the time spent on my case, become my friend. My divorce was one of the most complicated cases that Maribeth and her office had ever encountered. My first meeting with her took over 5 hours. Who spends that kind of time with a client, in today's world? Due to the complications of the case, it was not uncommon for another attorney in her firm and staff to sit in on meetings. I spent weeks in her office having been given an office to work in and an intern so that I could create a time line of events and exhibits for the court. By doing my own data collection for the case I was able to save on some of the legal fees that were being accrued. She championed my case through unbelievable obstacles. First, my previous counsel had filed the wrong document and didn't correct it, which seriously impacted the case. Then opposing counsel slandered my character every chance they could. During the process, both my husband and her husband passed away within weeks of each other. The death of my husband during the divorce process created a whole new set of issues that had to be worked through. Even in her own grief she always answered e-mails and kept the case moving forward. I was always kept in the loop of information, had my questions answered and knew what was to be expected. Her entire office was always professional, very helpful and became a source of emotional support when everything seemed so overwhelming....Thank you! Maribeth Wolfe Blessing has been the best lawyer I could've ever had. Reliable, trustworthy, caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable.
