Cris Pastore and Jean Denard worked with my ex-husband and I to finalize our divorce through mediation. Cris and Jean were consummate professionals. The process was easy and they were both transparent and helpful. We could ask questions at any time. I have referred counseling patients to the Main Line Family Law Center for support and counsel surrounding issues of divorce and mediation and in each case they received help that positively affected the outcome of their divorce in ways that saved them heartache and money. It is similar to couples therapy in that both partners need to be able to see things from very different perspectives, almost like they are living on different planets and have to reach out into the other persons world and speak a completely different language. Mediation can help you do that. Only when both parties can concede and communicate that way can any collaboration happen and progress be made. Addiction is an incredible wedge in this process. Sitting down and considering mediation allows partners to move on, find resolution and when children are involved it is the kindest and most compassionate way to divorce.
