If I could give 0 stars I would. I contacted Mr. McClenahen in July of 2023 where I needed urgent counsel for my husband who was detained by the local police ILLEGALLY. When we spoke, this was before the incident I just mentioned, and before things were of critical nature, he assured me he could help us and would be able to take our case and that it was simply a misunderstanding of mail not getting to the proper address. He assured my husband that all that needed to be done was for some paperwork to be filed. He mentioned he was on vacation but said his receptionist would take care of filing the continuum. We were shocked to learn that none of this was actually done, and because of Mr.McClenahen’s carelessness, my husband ended up getting a warrant for his arrest and was promptly arrested two weeks later. When I contacted Mr.McClenahen and told him our predicament, he said he did not get around to filing the continuum yet, and that he would do so immediately. Again, he assured me that he would get my husband out of jail right away. This was day 2 of 5 of him being illegally detained. The paperwork that Mr.McClenahen sent me was not correct, he had misspelt my husband’s name. I contacted him regarding the error and he apologized then proceeded to send me the document to sign again. Guess what? He sent me the fee agreement and the charges that belonged to another client! It had very personal and confidential information about this individuals case. When I brought it to his attention, he blamed his secretary! He was not apologetic at all and had no ounce of remorse for accidentally sharing private information from another one of his clients with me. My husband ended up spending 5 days illegally locked up because of this. I ended up retaining a different lawyer of course. As far as I could see, he was not up to the task of taking on my case as every step so far has shown how reckless he is with his client’s info. I definitely would not recommend this law firm to anyone looking for a serious lawyer who will treat their clients with respect every step of the way.

Just visited the website, seems like a outstanding law firm just from browsing. Most people don't understand the fear and heartache you get from criminal charges, seems like this law firm cares, just from the reviews.

Wow. Upon initial meeting this gentlman took me seriously and was swift to go to work on my behalf. He was professional punctual and his work ethic is unparalleled. His knowledge of the law and commitment to the job make him rise above the competition. If you were to ever find yourself in need of legal representation, call upon Mr. McClenahan. Matt is one of the most knowledgeable lawyers in this town. He is a stand up guy. His expertise, and support helped to ease my anxiety. He was incredibly responsive any time I had a question. He has an insiders knowledge of the local courts. Matt is the best.

He charged several thousand and then pushed me to settle. Ended up with a record that will effect my employment for the rest of my life. After the hearing he told me that I could expunge in a few years (not possible) and even offered to represent me for the expungement.

We have appreciated Matt and his team's help on a few occasions. We trust him and find him to be very honest and fair. In addition, Matt is very good at his profession and always prompt to help.

Attorney McClenahen is so attentive to client and potential clients... he takes calls when he is at the gym! He's quick, thorough, and friendly. He goes above and beyond the call of duty; keeping blog and staying active in the community. I'd recommend him to any friend looking for representation.

I am just sickened by the negative reviews that were posted. I felt the needed to give my own review. I for one have had experience dealing with Matt when my son got himself in a legal mess. He went above and beyond to help us. He was always on time and was never once late for any of our court hearings. He explained things in terms I could understand and I never felt like he was too busy to answer my questions and I had many. I have and will continue to recommend him to my friends and family. The negative reviews are so far from the truth and I felt that I needed to let people know that Matt is an excellent attorney.

This gentleman is not only a great business owner and lawyer. He goes out of his way to help people. Respectful and professional in life and business. Choosing his practice is a no brainer.
