Clark "squared," (the Father and son team in Washington, PA), CLEARLY pointed out the short comings of not doing my DUDILIGENCE when hiring a plumbing contractor, OR ANY CONTRACTOR for that matter. SURE, the local magistrate awarded me a judgment against this dirtbag, but it was only 1/2 of what the useless CSST, (Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing), cost me that the plumber installed as his work was "RED TAGGED" by my natural gas supplier, Columbia Gas, for defects and short comings in his work installing this product in my home. The "Clark" gentleman made it very clear that it simply was not feasible to pursue attempting to recover ANY MONIES from this scoundrel; they knew it and so did this plumber. At the magistrate's hearing, before the magistrate rendered any decision and as we were finishing up and said plumber could see that the magistrate was leaning my way, this said plumber took his copy of my brief into his hand, the only time he touched it during the hearing, waved it from his end of the table saying, "No matter what THIS magistrate's decision is, it's worth as much as this paper I'm holding in my hand!" He then flipped the brief back onto the table and walked out! Real nice. The "Clark" gentleman advised me to write it off when I do my taxes for 2020 as a good life learning experience. The were honest about the extensive costs associated with pursuing the magistrate's award to me; the fact that it was only 1/2 of what it had cost me for the install and advised that I add all of the associated costs AND the costs of getting the sheriff's office involved. Since I already filed the judgment at the Washington County Courthouse, it will remain on record that a judgement has been entered against this hack. It now appears to me that I have to go to the BBB and onto social media and call out this hustler as the crook that he is. If you have this (CSST) type of gas tubing in your home, check and make CERTAIN that either your home's gas meter or the black iron pipe is BONDED where it the black iron and CSST connect, if it's an auxiliary line. A grounding clamp and a HEAVY gauge copper wire will be going back to your electrical panel so it's BONDED. If it's entirely a CSST line, check that it is bonded at the nearest connecting joint closest to the electrical service panel. Also, check that ALL of your clips that secure the line into the rafters are intact and not cracked as over half of mine were already broken or cracked. Then, make sure that you have a termination plate in your kitchen or wherever it comes through the floor of your home. If it's through a wall be sure it is attached RIGIDLY to a wall stud. Be safe NOT SORRY. The "Clark" gents steered me away from throwing GOOD MONEY after bad and for that, I thank them.
