Cons
1
Lack of responsiveness and communication issues
“Very bad at returning calls and emails. Emailed and left several voicemails with a particular lawyer at the firm. Even if they did not handle what I needed, a call back to let me know that would be the professional and decent thing to do.”
2
Incompetence, negligence, and mistakes in handling legal matters
“They made many careless, sloppy, and wholly avoidable mistakes, such as: Got parent's name very wrong on the actual trust document and parent's date of death wrong, and then telling us, when we brought it to their attention, that it did not matter, really, and that if we wanted to, my siblings and I could fix it ourselves in six months!”
3
Excessive fees and lack of transparency
“The fees with MacElree Harvey went from the initial quote of $7,500 to nearly $30,000.”
