Pros
1
Knowledgeable and competent attorneys who work hard to get the best outcomes for clients
“MacElree Harvey is a great place to work full of thoughtful, competent attorneys who work tirelessly to get the best possible outcome for their clients and provide mentorship to younger attorneys.”
2
Attorneys who care about their clients and provide excellent service
“The attorneys at MacElree Harvey really care. They are exceptional at what they do. I highly recommend Joe Bellinghieri for estate planning, estate taxes, and accounting. I also highly recommend Mary Kay Gaver for business law. She really took care of me and my Mom during business buyout negotiations.”
3
Strong communication and keeping clients informed throughout the process
“The team had great communication and updated me every step of the way. I never doubted that they had my best interest in mind.”
4
Ability to break down complex legal terms in an understandable way for clients
“It takes a certain skill to be able to break down legal terms in ways that the general public can understand and Leo was the best.”
Cons
1
Lack of responsiveness to client communications
“Very bad at returning calls and emails. Emailed and left several voicemails with a particular lawyer at the firm. Even if they did not handle what I needed, a call back to let me know that would be the professional and decent thing to do.”
2
Instances of incompetence, mistakes, and disorganization
“The associates to me seemed bored and disinterested with their work, and as a result, they made many careless, sloppy, and wholly avoidable mistakes, such as: Got parent's name very wrong on the actual trust document and parent's date of death wrong, and then telling us, when we brought it to their attention, that it did not matter, really, and that if we wanted to, my siblings and I could fix it ourselves in six months!”
3
Lack of communication and transparency with clients
“They keep you in the dark, hold internal meetings without your awareness and make decisions without your input or knowledge (only to learn about it at the next billing cycle) and are very, very difficult to get hold of.”
