Kathryn is amazing! No matter what I write on here, it will never praise her enough. She truly cares and gives your case her all. She learns the details. She is so easy to talk to and it feels like you are childhood friends. She will fight for you and be there when you need her. I always recommend her and think so very highly of her. Kathryn is absolutely amazing!

No one wants to need a family law attorney. Very few cases in family law are the kind where everyone ends up happy. If you find yourself in this situation, you want the best. I can confidently say this person is Kathryn. She is accessible to her clients, remembers the details of your case, tells it like it is, and isn't afraid of anyone. I would gladly pay her 10 times what I did if I had to use her again. Her representation made a world of difference to me and my kids! I've read the recent negative review and have no issue saying that it's clearly someone who was on the losing end against Kathryn. That person doesn't actually have any negative comments on her skills and ability and instead makes rude comments about her appearance (which is always impeccable by the way)...sounds like someone who is bitter they chose the wrong attorney instead of hiring Kathryn. When the unexpected need for an attorney presented itself, Attorney Kathryn Nonas-Hunter came highly recommended by both friends and colleagues (who had also retained her as counsel at one time or another) as well as other professionals in the local legal industry. Attorney Nonas- Hunter is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to family law. In addition, she was always easy for me to get a hold of, keeping me constantly updated on my case, my rights and my options along the way. She was professional, courteous, punctual, not to mention she was extremely calming for me prior to walking into the courtroom. It didn’t take long for me to see why she was so highly recommended. Not only did I feel like she worked very hard for me, I was also reassured by the respect it’s clear other professionals in her field have for her.. in and out of the courtroom.

Kathryn was nearly impossible to communicate with, she was an hour late for my appt, and she left me hanging until the morning of my court date to try and negotiate with opposing counsel. She completely failed to inform me that a court date had been rescheduled, then refused to take responsibility, as if it were beyond her control. Yet somehow my ex had been notified in a timely manner by his attorney. Kathryn was in such a hurry at my support conference that she advised me to settle for less support than the court officer offered. She was always in a hurry and more concerned about her overbooked schedule than properly advocating for her client. The Judge issued an order which Kathryn assured me would offer the protection I needed. However, later when I needed that order, the police would not enforce it. Kathryn then acted like she had never assured me of its protection to begin with.

I hired attorney Nonas in 5/2017 to divorce my husband. At that time I really had no money and was living in my office. I was very emotionally vulnerable. I really don't know what was going on in the practice she was in. I left her messages and emailed her paralegal with my concerns. She told me I could not get any assets until my husband was agreeable which could be at least a year from then. I left some messages with no response and finally talked to her paralegal and she said well haven't you applied for alimony with domestics. I said no was I suppose to? Her response was that I could go to domestics and file for alimony. I went that day feeling disgusted that Attorney Nonas failed to inform me of this after telling me repeatedly that there was nothing I could do. I had the hearing which she could not attend. Not long after that she was no longer at the practice she was at. I received no notification of this where she was or what I should do from there. I found out where she went and left messages and still no response. I had another hearing and hired a new attorney. I informed her that I no longer needed her services. My attorney sent her a form to release my services with her and she never signed it. I never heard from her or received any bills until I was served with papers being sued by her for the balance of my bill. I was stunned and have had enough heart ache with her and my on going divorce. I did not attend the hearing so I now have a court ordered judgement I must pay. There is no good reason for her lack of communication or sending me a bill prior to seuing me. She had my address phone number and work phone number. The reason I am writing this review now is my son recently died and recognizing that I need to share this since he was also affected by her behavior and her lack of assistance which caused a lot of grief and added trauma to an already difficult divorce. I will be talking to the judge who ordered the judgement to see if I can do any thing. I don't want anyone to suffer more than they have too because most times when you seek legal advice you are hurting enough.

Kathryn is handling my custody case. She has done a fantastic job. She always comes prepared and ready to fight for her client. At our latest custody trial she had all of her "ducks in a row", which is more than I can say for my ex-wife's attorney. I now have primary physical custody of my son, with his Mother only getting partial physical custody. I highly recommend Kathryn.

I have had the opportunity to work with attorney's of all types but never thought I would need one of my own. I am glad I was fortunate enough to find Kathryn and her staff. Passionate about what they do they have helped me beyond my belief. I hired them for custody, criminal and divorce. Thinking right off the bat that because I am the guy I am automatically in the wrong and don't stand a chance with the courts. Well, Kat as I call her, has definitely proved this to not be the case. She has brought the truth out in my case as well as protected the relationship between me and my children which in itself is invaluable. I have often asked her why she doesn't charge more for her service and her response, "I probably could but then people wouldn't be able to afford me and I wouldn't be able to help as many as I can." I was in a bad position my attorney was leaving the country and he advised me that I would need a new attorney my trial was literally 10 days away I was worried about how would I find someone that would understand my case and genuinely be passionate about my situation. So I reached out to Ms Kathryn, I didn't know what to expect at first she couldn't take the case in the next 10 days she was on vacation that week. When I finally got the chance to sit down and talk to her about my case she immediately started to take a special interest and my case, I could see the ambition and her face to try to get the results that I wanted, she has the perfect team around her who make sure that I was informed about each detail of the case and how we were going to go about the case in court. Within less than a month of hiring her I seen more results then I have the whole time I've been fighting, I am very thankful that I chose to hire Ms.Kathryn, not only did she help me win my case she brought Joy to my little girl's heart that she finally gets to live with her real family, I highly recommend her if she take on the case you are definitely in good hands I can't thank her enough.

Kathryn hunter is the attorney to choose if your the person in the right, fighting for what is right. male or female if your looking for whats in the best interest for yourself or your children Kathryn will be able to help. my X was falsely accusing me of horrible crimes committed against my daughter to win custody. she used my daughter as a pawn in a nasty custody battle with out regards to her best outcome. Cyf was involved and they were a joke, foster agency was involved, many doctors, and many lawyers but the only person who seemed to care and help other then myself was Kathryn hunter. she saved my daughter and for that I would do anything for her. simple enough, if you want a real lawyer CALL KATHRYN HUNTER

Kathryn did an outstanding job for me and my boyfriend during his custody battle for his son. She kept us positive and always on the plus side of things especially when they got tough. She is a tough, passionate attorney who did an amazing job representing us at trial. We strongly recommend hiring Kathryn as your attorney, she will get the job done with your needs in mind and very efficiently. Any concerns we had she was sure to address and get back in a very timely manner wether it be her or her office. Not only was the consult free but she was confident enough to know what action needed to be taken in regards to our situation.
