My case with my ex was dragged out over THREE YEARS! Repeated phone calls and emails with no return from her. Was quoted $1500 for my case and paid over $4000. They diddle dallied around and let my case just hang out there. My ex then got enough time to file bankruptcy then I got screwed. Wouldn't recommend her for my dog!

I have an extremely complex family law case, and after my experience with prior counsel, it is very clear that Meredith is an expert at her craft. Whatever you need, Merdith is there and she is beyond capable to tackle even your most complex issues. However, what stands out the most is her experience with the policies and procedures within York County and the respect that all members of the York county judiciary have for her and her skills. She isn’t just an attorney, she’s part of our family.

Meredith went above and beyond in my custody case. She showed me that she cared about the details of my case from the time of the first meeting. She was thorough and knew each and every inch of my case when we went to trial. She remembered even just small things that I had mentioned in passing. She genuinely cared about my child. She wasn’t just going through the motions. She is busy and hard to get in with, but she is worth it.

My case was difficult and emotional. The outcome was extremely positive and more than I expected. Meredith and her staff were helpful, insightful and always responsive. She was very understanding of the high emotions by all during this trial and empathetic to all.

I retained Meredith to assist with my divorce and property division. She carefully reviewed all of the paperwork I provided to her office, which I have to admit I did not organize very well. She provided multiple possible scenarios and allowed me a lot of time to ask my hundreds of questions. Her staff promptly shared all letters and court documents with me and patiently explained what everything was. I always felt welcomed and important when I came to her office, even when it was without an appointment. When it came time To go to Court she shined even more. My ex hired an attorney he called “a bulldog”. His attorney was loud and mouthy and tried so hard to intimidate Meredith. Meredith remained calm and professional and got me more than I could have imagined. It was clear the court personnel thought highly of her and it’s no wonder why.

I've read these other reviews and it's clear to me that the two negative reviews are either from people trying to damage Meredith's reputation, likely because they were the opposing party, or who failed to heed her advice which resulted in a negative outcome for them. I've never met an attorney who is better prepared for Court. She will go head to head with any lawyer in York and win. She returned my calls promptly and responded to my messages quickly. Her staff is knowledgeable and easy to reach. I've received emails and calls at night and on the weekends from this law office. Find me another attorney who will give you her personal cell phone number and take your calls on the weekend. She is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable in family law and helped us win a case that 3 other attorneys told us we had no standing to file. Ignore people who can't give a detailed review because they haven't actually met with Attorney Allie. I've hired her once and will retain her again in a heartbeat.

This is a lawyer that I would never recommend to anyone who needs results in order to avoid negative consequences. The personal attention given to my case was minimal at best and her preparedness was lacking of someone who is suppose to be there with the best intentions of her clients best interest. I felt that I did much more in my preparation and research than any effort that she put forth and I still had to pay the same rate to her as I would have to many other attorneys in York that would have been much more in tune with the case. She failed to demonstrate not only an urgency to win the case but also the ability to represent me in a vested way in court. The office she works for was also less than adequate for document preparation. She appeared to be more concerned with how much money she could make off the case than the direction of the case which also was something that irritated me as I was told at the initial consultation how she would accomplish xyz...and that never happened at all. Her response back to a phone call or email before she receives the contract is quick but once you have paid for her services it becomes quite clear that response time is not a priority.

I met with several lawyers before choosing Meredith. After talking to her, we hired her instantly. She is very down to earth and she keeps everything simple and easy to understand. We actually recently went to court for our custody trial, and the verdict will come later in the week. I wanted to take time to write an unbiased review before the judge makes a decision. Meredith was very confidant and thorough. She had the other party and their witnesses getting flustered on stand when she caught them being deceptive (several times). I am still nervous as to how our custody schedules will work out due to our work schedules, but I am 99.999% certain that the scales have tipped in our favor. Current custody schedule is 50/50 with parents residing in two different counties, and the child is now of school age. May I also add, we saved at least $2,000 in comparison to what other lawyers in the area were charging. It was still a pretty penny (lawyers aren't cheap), but the best money we have ever spent on a lawyer.
