I hired Rhode Island Lawyer John Calcagni in march 2020 to represent my son on felonies charges in Rhode Island District Court. This lawyer did not have a single in person meeting with my son up to September when I hired another lawyer, neither did he file a single motion in district court to have my son case adjudicated or to remained in said court. His sole intention was to have my son’s case transferred to superior court where he would then asked for more money. My sole reason why I hired him was because he gave me his word that he would work to have my son’s case taken care of in district court. After I expressed my displeasure to him about his lack of actions , he got mad and said he would refund my $5000 only problem was he don’t...Not surprising he failed to keep his words again, he only refunded $2500 He claimed that he worked 6 1/4 hr at $400 an hr, after speaking to persons who would have knowledge of Rhode Island lawyer hourly rates ,they all said $400 was a lie. Another unethical act by lawyer Calcagni is false advertising on his website around free consultation, .my son and myself were both charged consulting fees. At no time during our conversations did I agreed that I would be okay with $400 an hour, It’s all about him trying to justifying why he kept $2500 WARNING....PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE .

John Grasso has been amazing. This man works hard for his clients. My spouse and I have been going through some tough times. My sister in law looked on Google and found John Grasso. At first I was skeptical because what my significant other was being accused of was rough and very tough. He reached out to John Grasso and immediately John made time for him to come into the office and speak to him. This was during the COVID-19 break and No matter the circumstances we were facing through John made time for us. John had special plans with his fiancé and unfortunately we had a situation pop up and John had to sacrifice his personal time to come and support my man.
