Stephanie went through our two year journey (Successful) for SSDI benefits for my wife. She answered all of our questions which were many and was never discouraging keeping us informed when something was needed.

I contacted Craig 13 years ago and after speaking with him and meeting him to discuss Chapter 7 bankruptcy I hired him to handle the case. He did an excellent job and I can't tell how you how impressed I was with his service. Fast forward to 2013 as a result of divorce I reached back out to him for help and just like he did 13 years ago he was there to help me out and I am glad that I did. What sets Craig apart from other attorneys in the area is that he is a down to earth easy spoken straight up guy who you can feel comfortable speaking to. From the first initial meeting with Craig he walks you through everything explaining the pros and cons and develops a strategy that best fits your situation. I found Craig through a flyer in the mail. I was about to file for bankruptcy with no idea where to start, so I made the call. What impressed me the most is he's not you're stereotypical uptight lawyer, he's a real guy & you can talk to him without fear of judgement. Mr. Sapienza is the most honest, straight forward, no holds barred man I have ever met. I was hurt at work in 1999. I had 3 back surgeries between 2000 and 2002 and I was only in my early twenties and couldn't work. I applied for social security disability and was denied. I knew it was time to find an attorney and get the legal help I needed. Two small mouths at home to feed and a husband that was working 3 jobs just to keep food in our mouths was the hard journey we were facing. When I first met Mr. Sapienza he told me he would take my case, but that we had a hard fight ahead of us. He told me I had two strikes against me already, one, I was young and two, I didn't look like I was disabled. I just wanted to cry. I couldn't lift over 5lbs, I had to have help washing my hair and I could even pick up my two young daughters. Mr. Sapienza looked at and said " I said it wasn't going to be easy, but I will fight for you!" I felt a wave of relief and the journey started. I called Mr. Sapienza frequently frustrated with the slow government process and each time he took my calls or called me back within 24 hours. Each time he answered ALL my questions, explained all the technical jargon in laymans terms and would tell me to hang in there and not give up. We filled out form after form and waited patiently for the next step. In the end we ended up in Pittsburgh in front of the Workers Compensation review board, I underwent a gruelling physical and demanding questions all with my smiling, encouraging attorney by my side. I was determined disabled and started to cry. It is one thing to know you have disabilities, but its something totally different to be told that you are basically useless. I thanked Mr. Sapienza for sticking by me with all the odds against me and for putting up with all my neurotic pestering. I stayed on Disability until around 2005 and many bouts of physical therapy. I have since gone back to work, took college courses for a medical career and have been working ever since for a local doctors office. Mr. Sapienza taught me that a disability isn't my life, it's just a stepping stone along the way. Thank you again Mr. Sapienza, you are an absolutely amazing attorney, man and all around human being. My family encouraged me to file for Social Security Disability, I kept putting it off because I didn't feel good and felt overwhelmed when I would log on to the SSDI site to start a claim. I stopped by Roger Ousey's office after a doctor appointment one day. Cheryl Ousey met with me right away, then looked up my information and pointed out I only had about a month to get it started before I missed a time frame to file! So I went home and filled out by hand many pages to file, and turned those over with an immense pile of doctor reports, test results, etc. - and they inputted all of those for me. Roger Ousey kept me informed along the way - and he or his staff were always there to answer any questions for me - no matter how trivial. Their work ethic is above and beyond - especially taking on a case without knowing for certain I would receive benefits - and they would then get paid.
When my court date finally came up - Mr. Ousey was with me - as he had been all through the long process of waiting to get to court.
And I was so pleased that I received my benefits!

My partner and had our children ripped from us without warning. It was a complicated and not a common case for any attorney - especially in a conservative state and city like Houston, TX. The odds were stacked up against us from the moment our children were taken away from our home by the other party. One lawyer we consulted with told us straight up and forward, " You will not win. She will win; but you can try and give it a shot". This partcular lawyer had 25 years experience in family law. Needless to say, we were not surprised. We understood this case wasn't for any everyday lawyer. Our case required a skilled, talented, and confident lawyer. A lawyer with a combination of experience and natural ability and skills set to work this case.
From the moment we initally spoke to Ashley, we knew she was the one!
Ashley took a complicated, unique and challening case that most lawyers would shy away from. Ashley said it would not be easy, but believed we could win our fight for our girls.

During the 3 year long process both JoAnna and Christy kept me informed of any and all changes as well the progression of my hearing. Joanna and her staff filed my application, my appeals, and Joanna went to a hearing with me. Her staff is very knowledgable about all aspects of Social Security. If I couldn't talk to Joanna, I could talk to K and she would be able to answer most of my questions.
