My brother needed a family lawyer in Anderson, SC so I started my research on the best divorce lawyers in that area. MJ Goodwin Law rated head and shoulders above all the others. We found her firm to be very professional, personable, and fought for our best interests. Communication was very easy through My Case portal site where we could upload and receive documents regarding the divorce. She was very compassionate with my brother throughout this process as he is dealing with some health issues. When he was not able to verbalize his thoughts clearly, she readily stepped in to clarify any confusion during mediation and family court. Amenable solutions were reached regarding assets and payment of back taxes. I hope we never need another family law attorney in South Carolina but if you do, I highly recommend MJ Goodwin Law firm. Divorce is never easy but her law firm made this whole ordeal tolerable and for that we are extremely grateful.

I researched and reviewed several attorney's before selecting Ms. Goodwin. I was seeking a divorce and wanted a woman to represent me. I also wanted an attorney that was local to the Anderson community in which I live. She was very familiar with the courthouse, staff, judges and other areas relevant to my specific needs. I was pleased with her replies, questions and advice. Her assistant, Joy was always in contact with me, keeping me abreast of developments. I also had Ms. Goodwin assist and prepare my personal will and power of attorney paperwork that I had been putting off and felt now was a good time to take care of these important and essential matters. I felt confident Ms. Goodwin was working in my best interest and am comfortable knowing all my legal affairs are now in order. M.J. was amazing during my custody modification. She was extremely professional and made the whole process so much easier. The communication was very efficient and Joy and her would respond very quickly. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again if the need a rises.
