Professional, knowledgeable and personable

During our house purchase closing process we were introduced to B&C's Estate Planning process. We recently retired and were looking to set up a Trust so the timing was perfect. Once we settled in, we went back and met with Tom McNutt who does all B&C's estate planning. Tom was very professional, knowledgeable, incredibly thorough, helpful and patient. He also has a great sense of humor. We finished and executed our Trust in 2 sessions. Two weeks later we picked up our Trust ( original in an envelope made of fire proof material), copy (in a binder and on a thumb drive). I've had a few questions associated with "funding" the Trust and Tom has always been available and very helpful at no extra cost. Price was very reasonable.

Not familiar with working with lawyers at closing- did afford some comfort and peace in this complex process signing off paperwork. Staff at this office were very good. However in preparing for the closing I received an email the day before closing (didn't get to read it until the evening before closing), stating I had to wire them a substantial amount of money for the closing (next day at 4:00PM) or it would have to be rescheduled (abbreviated email content presented). The reality: the money required at closing -plus extra money- was wired and received over 2 weeks before I received this email. I was very confident in my actions but this incident made me really question why staff at the legal office didn't take the time, or care enough to take the time, to verify what actions were needed before sending me a directive for money. I'm glad the closing is over and life goes on.
