After interviewing several attorneys in the area about guidance on how to navigate an amicable divorce through the legal system Mr Forman immediately came off as different. In the crowd of Saul Goodmans he was the professional. As others have stated, if you are looking for someone to blindly agree with you or for moral support you should look elsewhere. He speaks directly to the point, and your opinion may differ but with years of experience speaking he was always right. In this case he was more than patient enough to lead this clueless reviewer through the maze of forms, filings, schedules, hearings, and eventually COVID-related documents that one must go through to get a divorce in this state. Now that everything is done I can say without a doubt that his help was critical in getting us through the system, and with quality agreements that will not cause surprises later on. For therapy seek a counselor, for conversation seek a friend, and for assistance with family law matters seek Gregory Forman.

For anyone reading this review let me upfront about Mr. Forman, he will not come off warm & fuzzy. If you want a lawyer to listen to your story and then comfort you during this stressful part of your life, move on this is not the lawyer for you. But if you want a lawyer that is very ethical and extremely knowledgeable in SC family law then your search is over. I had spoken with several lawyers over the last 3 years on a parenting plan that I agreed to, but put my ex in a position that allowed her discretion in several important areas, which she used for years to prevent me from seeing my son more or talking to him during the week. How knowledgeable is this lawyer? Well, I spoke to 4 lawyers over years and none of them had any insight that could help in my situation. When I spoke with Mr. Forman he made me aware of some aspects of my parenting plan that no other lawyer brought to my attention. Mr. Forman filed contempt against my ex, which was scheduled for a 2 hours but ended up being over 3 hours. My ex’s lawyer was trying to bring up technicalities and some very weak arguments, but Mr. Forman was all over it. Mr. Forman is a beast in the courtroom. You hire this man to be your lawyer, know you are hiring one of the best if not the best family lawyer in South Carolina. I had a law firm recommend him and made that statement about him and I completely agree. I felt he had total control of the courtroom and just annihilated the other lawyer. I couldn’t stop talking to friends and family for days about how well my lawyer was in court. I got everything I wanted in my case, Mr. Forman is worth every penny! Oh ya, I almost forgot to mention his fast communication. He is incredible on how fast he will respond to you. I would email my lawyer when I was at work and make a big deal with my co-workers about how my lawyer will respond. Its very normal for him to respond within 15 minutes or less.

I came to Mr. Forman about a child custody case after poor experiences with prior attorneys. He was direct, efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive. During my hearing I felt completely confident and assured that I was being represented by the best. The prior rating of 1 star from Ms. Bernard was because she was found in contempt and ordered to pay all of my attorney fees. Mr. Forman is the only attorney I will trust with any family court matters going forward.

Greg Forman is not your average lawyer. He is a one-man show and he knows the law I like the back of his hand. He is always available and has a system that makes him extremely efficient. He is not a touchy-feely guy so don’t expect anything but pure, unadulterated legal advice and brutal honesty.

On Christmas night of 2018 I was arrested for drunk driving. I blew out two tires on the passenger side of my vehicle. No one was hurt. This occurred in downtown Charleston. After a field sobriety test I was booked for a DUI, my first. I spent the night in jail and was released the next morning. After getting my car out of impound and fixing my tires I went home and went to bed. The next day I googled DUI Lawyers in Charleston and got in touch with Allen. As it turned out this was the best decision of my legal life. Don't let his youthful appearance and boyish good looks fool you, this man is a seasoned professional. Handling DUI's is his thing. What impressed my most about him was his lack of smugness. Getting arrested for a DUI was a shattering blow to my self esteem. Allen was empathetic, this clearly was not his first rodeo regarding DUI cases. Moreover he was honest and upfront with me regarding next steps and what I could expect to happen in the process. Before I had ever paid him a dime, he processed the paperwork to get my driver's license back, as had I refused a Breathalyzer and blood test. To make a long story short my DUI charge was reduced to reckless driving and the incident was expunged from my driving record. It's important to keep in mind that an arrest is not a verdict. While I can't guarantee anyone the same outcome I can assure you that your best bet is to hire this lawyer. One last note; his rates are very reasonable. To be sure, this was a wise investment that I'm grateful a made.

Let me start out by saying that I am truly grateful for Allen as well as his staff. Allen has represented me for the past several years in unlawful carrying, simple possession, and DUI charges. All three times I immediately called Allen. When I called for the first time Allen answered the phone himself, I was startled and he told me to relax and let him handle everything. He immediately made me feel at ease. He continues to fight hard for me at every turn. He is forward thinking and proactive; keeps me involved in the process, always asks for and values my input, and going the extra mile for me whenever he can. He took care of me and got all my cases dismissed and I didn't even have to go to court in person while I was working overseas! This man knows what he is doing and wont b.s. you honest! He gave me his personal cell phone number and was available by text or call and until this day when I see him we speak beyond legal matters because Allen is more than my attorney, he is my friend. I’ve recommend Allen to a friend that was in need and Allen got his charges dismissed. This is the only lawyer to call when you really need help and want to win. I kept my job and my way of life.
