Let me set the scene: Me and husband are on our way to meet family for a Christmas vacation. Instead of flying, we opt for a little road trip. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Except that our vehicle is totaled while stopped in traffic. Bummer. With the adrenaline still pumping, we're at a complete loss (literally and figuratively) and have no idea what to do in this instance. Do we just brush it off and let the insurance adjusters handle it? Chalk it up to bad luck and call it a day? One of the best pieces of advice that we were told in this instance, by my wise-beyond-his-years father, was to hire an attorney. Wait, how does one even hire an attorney? As a rule-of-thumb, I trust very few people (okay, I'm like half-joking) and this was a life event in which I didn't feel that I could hire just any attorney. Enter Mr. Jason Reynolds, Esq. We contacted him within 30 min of our accident and asked him what to do. Without skipping a beat, he laid it all out for us in a way that was so incredibly reassuring and helpful. Even though it was the week of Christmas, he was able to get us seen by a trusted medical team to be evaluated for our injuries within one day of our accident. I'm not even sure how that works because I can't get in with my regular doctor that quickly. But, I digress..... Throughout this entire ordeal, Jason has been so incredibly amazing, thoughtful and forthcoming. His high moral standards made me sure that he wasn't just trying to make a buck off of our suffering and I knew that he truly cared for my husband's and my wellness. Overall, he's a really decent guy who cares about his clients. Also, he was able to get us the full amount from the insurance companies and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. To that end, I urge people to not hire just any attorney or law firm. I know, there's a ton of personal injury lawyers here in Columbia, a lot of big name types. The problem with hiring them is that you don't actually get that person who you see on the billboards or in the commercials. You'll get one of their associates to handle your case. Nope, I don't want to be brushed aside and seen only for the amount of money I'm worth. tl/dr; Hire this law firm, you won't regret it.
