I hired Nick for my divorce and I couldn’t be more pleased. Nick was honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I have had horrible experiences in th past with attorneys and I was nervous about using another attorney. But Nick was fantastic from the first meeting. He detailed everything about what he would be doing and how he would handle the details of my case. When I had questions he answered them, honestly. If I called or emailed him he responded quickly and with great knowledge. Nick does what he says he’s going to do. That is a rare trait among lawyers. I will be using Nick as my attorney going forward for any reason in the future. I have that much trust in his character and ability.

Tremendously, tremendously satisfied! I retained Mr. Nick Mermiges, Esq, to represent me in family law proceedings in 2016. He charged an extremely reasonable flat rate for bundled professional and associated services, which was new to me. Mr Mermiges was unbelievably responsive to my questions, usually answering via text or email within the hour. Appointments were easily made and always kept. He clearly explained current state and next steps, always keeping me in the loop. I cannot imagine having a more professional, engaged, and competent attorney who really kept my best interests in mind.

Jack Swerling is the best defense lawyer in the state, bar none. I was charged with two very serious crimes. His team of professionals ( with Matt Bodman ) were able to get my 1/2 million $ bond reduced significantly and then thanks to their work, my case was dismissed / not guilty. I've known Jack's reputation and was hesitant about calling to schedule an appointment because I thought it would be impossible to get an appointment because of his popularity, but I did and was able to get an appointment that day . He and his staff are very professional and he is definitely the best defense attorney in South Carolina and probably even the whole US!
