I reside in Virginia. I sought an attorney to help me change the ownership of a deed to property that I own in South Carolina. Via email, I requested a quote from six South Carolina attorneys who practiced real estate law. My experience follows. Of six attorneys, two attorneys responded. Gary A Pickren (with Blair | Cato | Pickren | Casterline, LLC) was the first to respond. I researched his firm and read his profile. I liked what I read. He quoted $200.00 to complete the work and said if I provided the current deed, he’d subtract $50.00. I provided all he requested. Gary determined what I wanted and secured my business. His associates Brandon J Gregg, an associate attorney and Chris Kinon, a law clerk afterward worked with me to derive the product. They promptly answered my questions and quickly delivered the product. I found them to be a down to earth group with to work and to be professionals at preparing the product. On that note, the product looked good, so good that I had thoughts of framing it. As for their service (deed preparation and recordation), their performance was outstanding. As for their product (a deed and affidavit), the quality was excellent especially for the price.
