I recently hired Mr. Kim Varner to handle a case for me. From day one he was very attentive, returned all calls promptly and seemed to recall each point of the case without making major notes. He is an outstanding communicator and knows the laws of SC as well as other states to the tee. He is very friendly, yet stern and straight to the point and at all times has a way of calming you down threw your situation. His many years of experience speaks volumes. Doug Churdar has set the bar. (no pun/rhyme intended) Lord willing, I hope to never be in a situation where I need to call an attorney who deals with car accidents/personal injuries but if I could recommend one to anyone looking, I would recommend my new friend Doug. Two years ago, I was involved in a horrific accident where a commercial delivery truck attempted an illegal u-turn on the highway. The truck pulled out in front of me to where I then was forced to the rear end of the truck at approximately 70 mph. I sustained very serious injuries and permanent scaring/mobility that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I was referred to Doug by a close relative that assured me that he could not only take care of my case with professionalism but also with genuine care for my well being. I am so glad I reached out to Doug! He set realistic expectations and kept me informed every step of the way. Anytime I had a question, he would be happy to answer and was always easy to communicate with via text, call or email. Most of my friends said that lawyers are like going to the dentist, the hygienist does 99% of the work and then the dentist comes in to say hello and leave. This could not be farther from the truth with Doug and his team. He was involved in every aspect and his attention to detail with my case was impeccable not to mention, extremely reassuring. I never had to question whether progress was being made. Not only was Doug and his team excellent with their work performance and communication, I felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. I have used Doug and the Churdar Law Firm on two separate occasions. Doug represented first me when I was riding my motorcycle to work and was hit by a 28' box truck; several years later he represented my husband when he was riding his motorcycle home from work and was struck by a drunk hit-and-run driver.
