I had a tax situation which I tried to find help in resolving. I found an Enrolled Agent who took a retainer and did absolutely nothing for me except take my money. I tried other supposed reputable sources who again were useless. My accountant recommended Ecton Law Firm, so I was skeptical, but saw they had great reviews, so I arranged for the free initial meeting. I met with Alex Lall and he was terrific. He, at first recommended I try to resolve the situation myself since I had some knowledge and that he didn't want to take my money unless I absolutely felt that I wanted his help. He spent alot of time answering my questions so I decided to let him help me. All through the process, he was patient, professional and knowledgeable answering my concerns about the process. I unfortunately lost my high paying job and I found the first job I could get. I started the first job I could find. It was paying much but I needed to keep a roof over my head. I got behind on my taxes and resulted in a $20,000 plus bill for federal taxes. The IRS put a lien on my home and they wanted their money. I didn't and don't have it. I was backed in a corner and I needed help. I was very depressed, confused and lost. I was told to call Ecton Law Firm because they are reputable. I called and made an appointment. I arrived and they made me coffee and made me feel welcome. I met with the lawyer and we went into detail about all taxes due,income and to my surprise the pressure of my situation. My lawyer listened and gave me information and choices to approach my dilemma with the IRS. We stayed in touch constantly and if I called after hours; someone would reach out in an email or called immediately. I never felt like I was bothering the lawyer or colleagues. Simultaneously, they didn't treat me as a problem. My results were $810 instead of over $20,000! I was relieved because I really am struggling. Excellent experience with the ELF team in successfully resolving a very substantial old IRS liability. I have no hesitation in recommending ELF based on my experience, their fees, their professionalism and responsiveness. Best advice is to find a lawyer before you need one, hope they are as good as ELF, and let them take charge. I did and it worked out A+
