Ms. Averill is a professional who works extremely hard. My children's interests were always her number one priority. She represented them well as a Guardian. You won't always agree but she is clear and concise with her feedback, works well with therapists and has very competitive rates.

Ms. Averill talks a good game. She comes off like she really likes you and cares for your kids. She offers her shoulder to cry and says she knows exactly what you are goin' thru. Oh boy i was sooo wrong. She came on my case last year in October & right away asked me to fill up a guardian questionnaire that I had never seen before. Y'all can look it up yourself. Google: gregory forman gal questionnaire. Long story short i spent 2 days pouring my heart out and giving her TEN examples of things my ex had done. He was never there was always hangin' with his bros drinking and watching football. My ex never wanted ANYTHING to do with the kids missed their birthdays and was just a drunk slop. She is a superficial social butterfly wannabe that brags about her daughter going to same school as another slop Thomas Ravanel. Now shes favoring my ex because shes friendly with his attorney because they go to the same church. During the court appearance I really wanted to tell the judge about this horrible experience but I didn’t know exactly what that would have accomplished. If I knew the judge would have made her refund my fee and allowed me to find another guardian then it would have been worth it. But without knowing the possible outcome I didn’t want to embarrass her and then still be out of money. I really wanted a different guardian for our case. Everyone I speak with tells me its never been done and cant be done. I dont want this to happen to anyone else. The entire experience so far has been horrible. I thought she actually cared for kids and shed speak the truth and that would speak on my behalf of minor child. My attorney told me in private this is not the first time shes hearing this and that many other attorneys are having similar stories. Do your kids a service and dont agree to have her as guardian for your divorce case. She will do you and your family disservice. STAY AWAY FROM MARIA AVERILL GUARDIAN.
