On the day you married I’m sure you didn’t think you’d end up reading reviews on divorce attorneys in the future. I didn’t either. First, I want you to know how sorry I am you are going through this. It’s horribly tragic, emotionally devastating, and unbelievably stressful. I know. We just settled my case in November 2024 after almost 2 years of litigation. The good news is somehow you’ve found the Andrews Law Firm. In my case, we had been together for almost 30 years. I was caught flat footed and served with divorce papers the week after I retired and had to find representation quickly. Fortunately, I have a friend who is a trial attorney in Florida and is also a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). Because of the complexity of my case, I asked him to help me find the best, most experienced attorney in the Charleston area. Let’s just say the list my friend received from the ACTL was very short and Mark was on it. I know from experience you will receive passionate and pragmatic representation from Mark. Although Mark thought we had a good chance of prevailing at trial in my favor, he also knew there was a chance we may not. On balance, he recommended settling the case because I was able to retain ALL of my retirement savings. I was angry because it was essentially the same offer we had on the table for almost 2 years. I wanted to at least try and recoup my legal fees through negotiation or at trial. He talked me off the ledge and pointed out I could have a very comfortable retirement without the risk a trial would present (not to mention the added expense). Very comfortable retirement with no risk? “Well Mark, when you put it that way…” This is exactly why you want Mark to represent you: judgement and experience.
