I'm very pleased with my experience with the Barker Family Law firm. They listened and helped me deal with my legal matters as smoothly as possible. I always felt they were working in mine and my son's best interests.

After my kids had been taken away from me and alienated from me, I was beginning to lose faith that I would ever see my kids again. Then in 2021, I found myself facing DSS regarding made up allegations of abuse fabricated by my ex-wife. This office not only handled my case with DSS, they also helped me regain custody of my 4 children (some of whom had been allinated from me for over 7 years). My personal thanks goes out to Douglas Barker, Daryn Barker, and Andrew Brener. This mericle would not have been possible without them.

Daryn was patient, kind and caring in a very difficult time. She made the process smooth and did it in a compassionate way. I would absolutely recommend Daryn to my friends and family.

I am writing today to provide my highest recommendation for Daryn Barker. When I met Daryn, I was in an unhappy marriage and looking for help and advice. At our first meeting, she listened to me and offered kindness, support, and confidence in a positive outcome. I cannot imagine that I was the easiest client to work with because I was hesitant to move forward and there were delays and complications with my ex throughout the process. Daryn was incredibly supportive at every twist and turn and always there to talk me through the process and help ease my fears. Her legal advice and strategy resulted in an outcome that I would not have believed possible when everything started. I would recommend Daryn to anyone seeking the advice of counsel for family matters. She is easy to talk to and work with, incredibly intelligent, and understands how to navigate the legal process to get the best outcome for her client. Daryn genuinely cares about her clients and works tirelessly on their behalf. She is also one of the nicest and kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

I did visit your office with my daughter to meet you. After my spending $10,000 in just 2 months for you to represent her she fired you (and your former partner, Tori Rhea). She contracted with another attorney who treated her with respect; who truly listened to her; who understood and acknowledged all of the reasons she wanted a divorce in the first place. He worked on her behalf as any attorney should regardless of one’s financial status. One year later, she did get everything she wanted! So, yes I have the right firm and I just wish could I could rate no stars at all.

I am currently in the process of filing multiple complaints against this law firm with the SC Bar Association and have retained a malpractice attorney to hold these horrible people accountable. Not only is Daryn Barker the most incompetent, unethical, lazy, and immoral “attorney” I could have ever fathomed in a thousand lifetimes but she is a truly horribly human being as well. She served me and my children up on a silver platter to our abusers and it cost us nothing less than everything.

If you value your children's safety and well-being and/or your life savings, do NOT hire this woman! Incompetent does not even come close to describing my experience with this firm. They cost me everything. It felt as if they were personally trying to destroy me, the exact opposite of what I hired her to do. I recommend anyone RUN as far away from this firm as possible. But if your opposing party has retained her, you will have nothing to fear!

If you’re looking for someone that knows the community, is organized, attentive, and can get things handled quickly then I highly recommend Andrew. Made everything very easy for me.
