A veteran lawyer with a great sense of humor and the ability to explain legal items simply to individuals. Loved the red and black bldg. Wanted to ask him if he was a gamecock graduate. He even extolled the ability of our real estate agent Janelle, which he needed not to do, but was appreciated.

Mr. Umstead law firm treated my wife and I with the upmost respect and they worked extremely hard on real estate closing. We didn't have to call one time to check on our closing as Mr. Umstead's and his staff (Tara Augustyn & Kim Paganini Mallett) updated us every few days. They went over everything in detail from beginning to end. They emailed us the "13 steps" to follow on our closing which was extremely helpful. Scott called us on the day of our closing and spent time going over our closing and explained the SC Vacation Rental Act to us. Scott answered all our questions and his communication skills helped us understand the SC vacation act. The staff at Umstead Law Firm are extremely professional and very nice. Scott and his team went above and beyond to handle the real estate transaction for the closing of our new home in Market Common's. With multiple delays and rescheduling from the builder, Scott and his team were there every step of the way to help us navigate the process and ultimately bring the transaction to completion. To top it all off, we did all of this from 8 hours away without a hitch. When you decide to use Scott's team, make sure to say hello to "joe". We will be using the team again on future transactions.

With the amount of paperwork that is required for a closing Mr. Umstead’s and his team made a complicated job extremely easy and completed it in a timely manner. This was a great experience and we will use their office again.
