There are not enough words and warm Regards to express how truly grateful and thankful our family is to be have had the opportunity to work with this kind, patient and all encompassing team. We were first time homebuyers. Without Scott’s team our dream of becoming homeowners would not have come to fruition. They are fast to answer any and all questions, and went far above and beyond what we could’ve expected or could imagined. From our family to yours Mr. Umstead, a million thanks. As soon as Scott walked in with his dog I was so happy Fairway Mortgage chose him to be my closing attorney. He got an A+ from the start. My fur baby is a part of the family. Lord I forgot all the paperwork involved in buying a new home but Scott went over everything thoroughly and efficiently. He even made suggestions on a local pest control company that he has used for over thirty years. He also explained after I have been living here for a year I can qualify for a homestead exemption for this young at heart. In today’s society, the trend in conducting business is geared more and more toward a faceless automaton interaction. That is absolutely not the case when you are blessed to be working with Scott and his wonderful team! First, our relationship began via phone conversations. Everyone made each conversation so personable as though you were their only client. All questions were answered, there was never any feeling of being rushed. Everything in these conversations was confirmed in a written confirmation. Secondly, one of those unsightly hiccups appeared in paperwork in a past transaction. This caring team reached out to me with assurance that they were working to resolve the situation. Although you automatically are apprehensive, again the team continually reassures you that they are working on a resolution! They were successful in one days time! Finally, sitting face to face with Scott was like meeting with a friend. We went through every document with him explaining and answering any questions. I would highly recommend Scott and his team! They are great at putting “personal” back into business transactions. Many could learn from their caring approach to true customer service! I can't say enough great things about Scott and his team at Umstead Law on their work on the purchase of our Condo in North Myrtle Beach.
