Scott Umstead and his team were recommended by our realtor when we sold our condo in Myrtle Beach. We couldn't have been happier with the recommendation. Scott and his team were so friendly and responsive and helpful. They answered all our questions and made sure the process was smooth and easy for us! I have give a shout out to his super cool office decorated with classic rock pictures and albums - we loved looking around. Also - he is pet friendly! We had our dog with us for closing and he was allowed to come right in and enjoy the A/C while we signed. A special thanks to Kim Paganini-Mallett for the great service as well! I recently used the law firm of Scott B. Umstead for my property and mortgage loan closing. The staff were extremely helpful from the first email I received giving me detailed instructions and information that I would need, until the final closing day. The underwriters at the bank I used held up the closing an additional week past the end of the contract date on the property and the closing date that had been reserved for me. The firm adjusted their schedules to make sure I could still have the closing by that time because the seller refused to extend my contract past the extra week. They also kept in contact with the bank for me all that week to make sure they were making progress (that had been a problem with the bank). Then at the closing, Scott Umstead personally did the closing. He treated me like family, not just a client, and is one of the most personable attorney's I have ever met - and I've had closings on several other properties. I would encourage anyone who needs a real estate attorney in the greater Myrtle Beach area to choose this firm for your needs. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Is it possible to be extremely thorough and expedient simultaneously? It is if you work with this office. As out-of-towners purchasing our first investment rental property, we needed all the help we could get figuring out the process, avoiding pitfalls, and closing on time.
