Sold my home and used Mr. Umstead to close on our house. I was very impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism his staff had from the first phone call to the day of closing. They did not leave anything to guess work on my part. I had closed with another lawyer previous and I now see how things are supposed to be done. They are above most.

I phoned 3 Attorneys before I chose Scott B. Umstead. From my conversation with his receptionist I knew I was going to use his firm. His assistant explained the entire closing process and they was right up front with all of the fees involved. The day before closing we were given the dollar amount we would need to wire to their account. There was no waiting once we arrived at the office. All of the paper work was placed in an orderly fashion making reviewing each section efficient while Scott explained everything. In less than an hour we were the proud owners of a new home! His pup even came into the waiting room to congratulate us. I definitely recommend using Scott B. Umstead!
