I hired Matt Jackson at the Joye Law Firm after I injured my back on the job and the company decided to lay me off. The insurance company, at first, was only willing to offer a very minimal settlement. The doctors decided that I was a non-surgical candidate. Matt explained clearly what a maximum MMI rating would equate to monetarily due to the doctors' decision. He furthered explained that I would not be able to further negotiate once the doctors decided to issue this rating. Matt was able to get almost three times this amount through aggressive negotiations with the opposing counsel. This settlement has allowed me to continue the healing process by opening up additional options for pain management.

My experience with The Joye Law Firm was outstanding. After two surgeries in two years and a whole lot of short term disability I found myself at the mercy of a very large corporation. I was a great employee with terrific quarterly employee evaluations since my employment began but was suddenly labeled a "trouble maker" because I was seeking workers compensation benefits for the injury sustained at work. After beginning to feel quite intimidated by the treatment, or lack thereof, that I was receiving I decided to reach out for legal advice. He always returned my emails or calls usually within hours but always within a day and even when on vacation.. He always had an answer for me and always gave me his personal opinion, whether good or bad I knew where my case stood. I never had doubts that my best interest was what really mattered to him. At one point toward the end of our legal battle I was faced with making a decision. I could settle or continue to fight but be at the mercy of my employer once returning to work. I always felt that I had all the information I needed and knew that Matt had my back regardless of my decisions. I was very impressed with the firm and very happy with the outcome. In a nutshell, The Joye Law firm exceeded my expectations and allowed me to stand up for my legal rights without fearing repercussions from the company I had worked so hard for. I was able to walk away from this situation knowing that I had made the right choice both for myself and my family with no regrets. I was very hesitant to contact a lawyer about my accident before going to Joye Law Firm. However, after meeting Drew and Maggie I knew I had made a great decision. They were very flexible with my schedule, as I am still a student and available at different times every day. They made me feel very welcome and answered any questions that I had. I would definitely go back to Joye Law Firm if I was in another accident!

I was hit from behind at a dead stop, my poor car was totaled! I had intense headaches and could barely stand without having to lean on the wall. The insurance was very pushy and wanted to settle the day after with a check for less than 500$. Someone suggested Joye Law Firm but I was scared about going to a lawyer; I thought they would be pushy, over charge and not care about me. However, in fact, it was the opposite!! They were very sweet and listened carefully to everything I had to say! They even recommended a doctor that was fantastic! I would highly recommend Joye Law Firm to anyone in need of a personal injury lawyer. Earlier this year, my car was totaled and I has a serious whiplash injury as a result. I was able to just concentrate on myself and healing while the professionals at Joye Law Firm handled everything with the case. And I do mean everything! They made sure I was able to purchase a new car as soon as possible, corresponded with the insurance adjustors on my behalf, and within a few months my case was settled...much to my satisfaction!

December 2012 I had experienced a severe motorcycle accident wherein I was left with a fractured leg and the remainder of my body felt broken. Holly was proactive throughout and never hesitated to answer questions or explain processes that may have confused me. When I was finally released from care, Mr. John Decker and Holly worked together tirelessly to make sure I received the compensation I deserved; and I got more than I anticipated. While my ankle still bothers me from time to time, I have rehabilitated to a point where I am now working towards participation in the Cooper River 10k next spring. Moreover, my injury pushed me into a mode of motivation where I am now in better shape than I was before the collision. Behind all of this work, however, Joye Law Firm never stopped representing me. I received compensation, all of my medical bills were paid for out of the settlement, and Ms. Holly Benton even negotiated my largest medical bills downward by thousands of dollars. When I thanked her and John, they both replied, "Well that's my job." That's the easy way out in my opinion. They did it because they're angels on earth and the care for the people they represent. Surely there are many personal injury firms in the Charleston area to choose from. And undoubtedly those firms can represent you throughout your circumstances. I had the opportunity to work with Ken Harrell on a workers comp case. I have to say, if you find yourself in a situation involving workers comp, you absolutely need legal representation. Workers comp companies are about saving themselves money...NOT getting you the medical and financial help you need. I discovered this after trying on my own for over 6 months to get the medical attention I needed. I would HIGHLY recommend Ken Harrell and the Joye Law Firm. They are highly ethical and of strong moral fiber. They will do all that needs to be done to take care of you and your situation. And with all they have going on, they still make you feel like you're their only client.
