Mr. Merck was referred to me by the South Carolina State Bar for some legal consultation that I needed to have done. I was not disappointed in his professionalism. He is articulate and succinct and will go to great pains to ensure that you understand a legal definition. I can vouch for that. People don't seam to understand that when a attorney is hired the person who is hirering the attorney is a consumer of that attorney's knowledge and professionalism.
I am very satisfied with Mr. Merck and the advice that he gave me and plan on continuing to use his professional services in the future.

I was referred to Trey Merck to help me with a summons for credit card debt. Being in the situation I am, I was worried it wouldn’t end up in my favor. Trey helped me get the best possible outcome and the whole time kept me up to date about what was going on. If you need a lawyer, he is definitely the one to go to! I would use him again and again if I ever needed to!

Trey was amazing! I was in a motor vehicle accident in May which led to a personal injury claim that he handled for me. He was nothing more than a text away and I always felt like I could contact him about anything. He was especially prompt during the process and was always a step ahead, it was a matter of waiting on the other party. I really felt like he had my best interest at heart which led to a level of trust that he was doing what was really best for me. I couldn't recommend him enough for any legal needs and I will definitely return in the future for any help!

If there was a way to give a higher than 5-star rating for Trey Merck, Attorney-At-Law, we would certainly give it! My husband had to have a transplant back in 2020 and was placed on temporary disability as a result. After a year, SS said he could return to work because the transplant had improved the original issue. The problem was they weren't considering all of the other issues that he now has as a result of the medications he has to have to live and other physical limitations. Long story short, we tried to appeal the decision ourselves and were unsuccessful. Thankfully, God brought us to Trey. Trey worked tirelessly to help us gather medical information and prepare us for the hearing with the Administrative Law Judge. Not only is he an exceptional lawyer who knows the law, he is personable, honest, and caring. He definitely went above and beyond to help us win my husband's disability appeal case. We would highly recommend him for any legal issues that arise.

I found Trey while searching my legal plan’s website for an attorney to assist in writing a demand letter to a skilled nursing facility (SNF). I needed help in getting my grandmother reimbursed for an item that was lost while under their care.
Upon reaching out to Trey, his office and himself seemed nice and willing to help; this was around December 8, 2022. While looking at the first draft of the letter he wrote, it became apparent that he was doing the bare minimum to help me. He did not include any of the state statutes or laws that require these sorts of facilities be held responsible for items lost while a patient is in their care. When I replied to his draft with the suggestion of adding this sort of information, his response was, "Absolutely - that's good."
Once we agreed on the letter to be sent, Trey said that if I wanted the letter sent via certified mail, it would cost $10. He also emailed this letter and got a response from the SNF the same day, so it was a waste of $10 to send it in the mail.
After a few follow-ups with Trey to figure out the status of what was going on, we finally got confirmation from the SNF that they would reimburse my grandmother for the lost item. After a few weeks, maybe a month or longer, we had never received the funds promised. I emailed Trey on February 6, 2023 to request that he send a message, that I had drafted and he would just have to copy and paste, to the contact at the SNF since we had not received anything. His response was for me to reach out to my legal plan, which I no longer had access to as it expired at the end of 2022, and request a new Case Number so he can get paid more for a job that he had already agreed to do. When I notified him of my plan ended in 2022, his response was “I'm going to give you Mr. Hall's email address and other information, and you can contact him yourself. If I have to continue, I will have to charge you an hourly fee.”
So, seeing that Trey prematurely closed my original Case ID with my legal plan and did not see this issue through to the end, I was left to pick up the “slack” and finalize the payment for my grandmother.
Lastly, Trey has taken extreme issue with this review and has emailed me numerous times since posting it. So, I would recommend being very cautious with retaining Trey for any services. In the event you aren't happy with him and you post a negative review, be prepared for a barrage of emails from him asking you to change or remove things.
