Typically in a situation like ours, after years of an awful struggle with a custody litigation and you end up with the hand we were dealt, you might not leave a five star review. However, for us, Mathis was a great attorney we are very grateful for. It would take a novel for me to express what we went through and the kind of person we were up against. We have faced false police reports, false abuse claims, identity theft etc. I think in one year we had six court hearings for all false allegations. What I appreciate the most from Mathis is his honesty. He was so respectful and professional and even if we didn’t want to hear the news he was going to make sure we understood the situation. At the end of the day you can’t fix crazy you are responsible for yourself. Mathis did an amazing job representing us in such a difficult time. I felt sick to my stomach when we had to have our young children testify. Mathis made sure that he befriended them, communicated with them and made it seem like no big deal which I truly appreciated as a mother. Mr. Mathis speaks eloquently and treats everyone properly. I interviewed 12 attorneys in Clarksville area previously worked with one and against two other attorneys as opposing counsel. I can tell you Mathis is by far the best in Clarksville. My husband finally has some level of peace and freedom from his ex-wife thanks to Mr. Mathis!

Jacob Mathis has been our attorney since 2010 for custody. He's always been honest and up front, made not promises on outcomes but was able to provide great insight on how to present a case that was level headed and factual instead of going off emotions. We did not succeed every time simply because of the laws in place on move-away cases, but were able to show that the ridiculous and outrageous claims of the other party were false. He did not attack the opposing counsel or her client at any point and just presented facts and evidence to dispute their lies. He is still accessible to use even a year and a half after our last case and will be who we use when we petition for custody in the future! Definitely recommend him-you have to spend a lot of money on these cases if their contested and you get your money's worth with him!
