This review is a little late. Nonetheless, I am thrilled to express my utmost gratitude and satisfaction with the legal guardianship provided by Amy Bates in representing my minor son during a recent custody case. When the judge said my son need a Guardian ad Litem, I was so happy that someone who wasn't looking to score me or the other party a win was stepping in to assess the case for my son's interest. For a few days, I prayed that a person who is fair and thorough will be appointed to represent my son. I know God answered from the moment I first met Mrs Bates. At first, I thought my side of the story was too long, but she welcomed all of it and listened. Mrs Bates professionalism coupled with a compassionate approach, provided both reassurance and confidence during a challenging time. Her focus to advocate for my son's best interests did not waver inspite of the delicate nature of the case. I owe the favorable outcome achieved in my family's case to Mrs. Bates's unwavering advocacy and meticulous attention to detail. Up until today I have a good experience with this firm. The attorney Jacob Mathis was great. He was very helpful and also great with communication for our adoption process. I would rate him 5 stars. When things were coming close to the end I was told for an ADDITIONAL fee they would handle the paperwork and process for submitting for a new birth certificate from another state. Well this was back in October. Last week we received a packet in the mail stating the paperwork that was submitted was not the correct paperwork. My husband contacted the office today and spoke with Misty and she told him to fill out whatever form “in black or blue ink” and take it to the office. So today we met at their office to complete the paperwork. I had some questions about the form and unfortunately the receptionist was not able to answer any of them. My husband told her he had spoke to Misty so the receptionist called to her extension to let her know we had questions. The receptionist then got off the phone and said “She said she told you how to fill the form out.” Which to me is beyond rude. If we needed a question answered you are supposed to find the answer. We are a PAID client, and the fees were not cheap by any means. We were there to make sure there wasn’t any CLERICAL ERRORS like there was the FIRST time. Instead of taking the time to answer our questions about a form that wouldn’t have taken more then 2 minutes. We were basically told figure it out which is ridiculous since WE PAID to have THEM take care of that portion.

I think it should be more PROFESSIONAL employee's in that office,THEY ARE REAL UNPROFESSIONAL NEED MORE TRAINING. I been trying to reach you for assistance for a month, but I always get sent to a VM, I never get a call back.....I can't get assistance from a voice mail

Called to possibly hire an attorney, whoever I spoke to was RUDE and said they charge for consultations, and need my paperwork to provide information, which is not a problem. The problem is that front desk said NOTHING about consultation fees or needing paperwork for the lawyer to even talk to me. When I notified the lawyer that I was not provided that information, she said “it’s not their job”. Then asked me if I wanted to set up an appointment. Why would anyone want to hire an attorney with a horrible attitude? PASS.

If you are looking for a lawyer, pelase keep yourself away from these guys. unluckly I have worked with Mr Jacop and he is incredibly not useful.

Not the cheapest, but highly professional. Mathis is excellent at quickly and concisely responding to emails and making the proper legal filings on time.
