I hired Jacob Mathis a Clarksville, TN lawyer to represent our son in his first child custody hearing. I had to pay the $3500 fee up front and it finished very poorly for my son and our family We flew down twice to meet with him, prepared many support documents and he assured us that things would go well We offered to come down for the hearing to show family support he insisted that it was not necessary he was wrong All the time we put into preparation and he never asked one question of our son’s estranged fiancé and sat silent as her attorney took control of the hearing His performance was disgraceful and we feel we got absolutely no return on the $3500 fee he charged He is all talk and no action Beware of using Jacob Mathis for any family court proceedings
