I wouldn’t recommend to use this guy unless you want to waste your money, he talks big game but can’t back it up, he wants you to sign a plea deal instead of him fighting, he will get in the court room an turn his back, my family had him hired an then he got in court an yelled at them an stated he wouldn’t fight for his client, he even turned an started telling people in court that his client was guilty after him being hired to fight for his client, took 5000 dollars to get a so called expert to appear in court an help an well guess what the expert never showed an never got the money back, be careful when hiring this guy, shop around if you want a good lawyer,

Needed a defense attorney, I contacted this law office. Spoke to Gordon and before I sat down in the chair he told me he wanted this case. I was very honest with him and he was very honest with me. This man knows his stuff. He's No Nonsense he does not beat around the bush. He was genuine and he's very quick with what's going on in the courtroom. The reason I’m posting this review is that it is my hope that when someone else gets into trouble with the law they know that there is a lawyer that’s reputable & kind that will give them the representation they deserve. I have owned & managed a major music publishing company in Nashville for over two decades, & I’ve retained & dealt with many lawyers. I retired & moved to the Cookeville-Center Hill Lake area in 2018. I had a bad situation with my best friend doing drugs that he got from CA. He lost his mind & became uncharacteristically abusive, which resulted in several DUI’s from me escaping that abuse. I take full responsibility for my drinking & driving. I hired a reputable lawyer in Cookeville after the first DUI, & she did nothing but continuances for almost 9 months. Frustrated, I asked around Cookeville for the best lawyer & was given Gordon Byars name multiple times. For that, I am still grateful. Gordon Byars has been one of the most credible & informed lawyers I have ever known. He always told me bluntly & with compassion what legally was ahead of me so I understood the consequences of my charge (whether I wanted to hear it or not), & his fees were fair. Gordon gave me a great defense & his appearance in court, coupled with the respect he got from the judge, his peers & all associated with the court was invaluable. After inquiring with multiple lawyers without the success or certainty of having someone in my corner, the last law firm I contacted referred me to by Byars Law. Thankfully, I got to have Ramon Damas and his paralegal on my team. I have not dealt with a lawyer before let alone be in legal trouble, being green to the system was scary but Ramon assured me I was in good hands and he explained everything to me in detail as far as the best or worst outcome, the process and what to expect in court. Ramon got to court before me to talk with the DA, so once I got there, he proposed the options to me. And yes, just as he said during our phone consultation, I was in good hands and that was proven within 15 minutes of court starting as I was the first one called out of almost 50 people and the first one to leave (as a free woman).
