We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to get prompt and professional service with this firm. The legal world is confusing and technical and to have assistance that shows concern and has good advice is invaluable. We have worked with Kevin, Clay, Adam, and extended referrals and have always been satisfied.

During what has been one of the most stressful and difficult times of my life, Morgan and JK at Thompson Burton were vital in assisting me through it. Morgan was constantly available and always gave sound advice. She listened to my concerns and did not ever make me feel like I was bothering her or being ridiculous. JK’s advice was also appreciated and honest, which was so important in my particular situation. Both their efforts made all the difference in me keeping my sanity. They were fair priced, did not nickel and dime like most attorneys. I could not recommend them more. I feel very lucky to have hired Thompson Burton, Morgan and JK specifically. If I ever need an attorney again, I will definitely be calling them back.

We used this firm for a rather complex real estate transaction and I could not be more disappointed. They kept mailing documents to the wrong address, failed to update contact information after being informed multiple times, delayed shipping documents so the closing date had to be moved several times, etc. Communication was very poor. It's hard to tell if this was just a problem with staff or leadership but in my experience their attention to detail was severely lacking.

Sarah Perky is a top notch attorney. Sarah always keeps in touch about the case. The staff at the office is quick to help get you to the person you need to speak with about the case. There are other lawyers in the area with good reviews but I suggest you get references before you hire. We are team of private investigators handling custody cases everyday. We always recommend Thompson Burton because of the cases they have won for us in the past. Feel free to call me if you want a reference.

If I could give six stars, I would. JK Simms is known around town as a go-to attorney for employers. However, I can personally say, he is equally as talented and skilled representing individual employees. You will not find a more hard-working, savvy, professional employment attorney. Like many people, I never thought I would be in a situation where I needed an employment attorney, but I am thankful that when I did find myself in a predicament, someone recommended JK Simms. Throughout the entire process, JK was highly responsive. He returned every phone call, text and email I sent. Negotiations were like a chess match. But thankfully, there is Bobby Fischer and then, there is JK Simms. He explained every move and why he was making each move. Every time the other side tried to push back or delay, JK pushed back and called them on their dilatory tactics. Most legal matters are emotional. My case was no exception. JK treated me like a person not a client. He was equal parts attorney and therapist throughout my dealings.

I spoke with Walt Burton regarding Tennessee commercial property tax exposure. Living in Florida, I was unaware of certain specific state taxes. Walt took my call and professionally addressed all my questions. I look forward to hiring this firm in the future for Commercial Property related work.
