This firm represented my mother in her disability determination case. Because of mom's disabilities it is difficult for her to drive or ride in a car. We were able to do everything by phone, mail, and email. Her claim was approved, after being denied twice, before we asked the Ponce team to represent her. I filed for disability so I decided to call the Ponce Law Group. I spoke with an exceptional exployee by the name of Taneka. She spoke with me for about 30 minutes and during this time she listened to me and understood my total medical condition. She immediately accepted my case. She kept me in the loop about my case during the entire process. My attorney from the firm was Christopher Aldridge. Mr. Aldridge met with me a week before my court hearing and made sure I knew what to expect during our court hearing. He continued our meeting by educating himself about me as a person and not just a client. I know these are things you should expect from a law firm but in the real world it doesn't work this way. Earlier last year, I was involved in an accident with my daughter. The other driver was at fault and my new car was totaled. I called Michael Ponce and Associates after getting less than helpful information from other local nashville lawyers. Ponce's intake them was very helpful and kind and got me in touch with their main office right away. After hearing about my horrible auto accident, the firm matched me up with Mr. Allen Smith and Ms. Agnese Henderson to work on my case. It was a dark day when I decided to make the call, but little did I know it would be a blessing. Allen and Agnese did EVERYTHING they legally could to make me whole again. I had to undergo a traumatic surgery - adding hardware to my foot - and I was devestated (I was a dancer my entire life up until my accident). I was immobile for many months and then placed on a strict physical therapy regime for a few months until I was able to walk again. Agnese, bless her heart, listened to my concerns, my crying and complaints of pain, and the toll the accident was taking on my personal life and work life. I hadn't been to work in months and my constant pain was starting to put me into a depression. She held my hand all the way through and let me confide in her emotionally, she was truly great, and finally seeing her face to face to sign papers and seeing her smile made me know I was in good hands. Allen had to work some serious legal magic to get my case to turn out as well for me as it did. I am forever in his debt, he somehow got all of my medical expenses taken care of after debating back and forth with giant insurance companies. I have full faith that another lawyer would not have worked nearly as hard for me as Allen Smith did. After I sustained my workers comp injury, I was faced with the task of finding a good attorney to represent me. There are many "ambulance chasers" on TV that seem to be almost begging you to contact them with your case. On the other hand, Michael's TV ads were of a more professional nature. No pressure or fear tactics to scare me into making that call. I contacted his office and Michael called me personally that evening and we discussed the case. I agreed to come into his office the following day and we discussed the case in detail. No promises of some wild "pie in the sky" settlement, but realistic explanations of how the case would be handled, how long it might take, and how a settlement amount would be reached. I felt comfortable with all the office staff, and Michael had Allen Smith personally conduct the negotiations with the Worker's Comp. carrier. It took a little over 16 months to reach a settlement, but that was due to continuing treatment on my part. I have to say I'm sure that I made the right choice with Ponce Law, and I'm pleased with how they resolved my case....
