We had been served papers by an old credit card company and were scheduled to go to court. Verner's staff, however, determined the debt was beyond the statute of limitations and their aggressive response caused the credit card company to dismiss the lawsuit. Great work all the way around!

Hired this law firm back in May 2014, they seemed very anxious to help me in my situation at first, but as of late they haven't had the time for me and I'm on the brink of being right back to where I started because of a situation with a Regions Line of Credit debt, They no longer seem to have any time for me and I am their client supposedly , I may have to end up hiring another attorney to keep from losing my home, which is why I went to them in the first place..

We received a letter from a supposed representative for a debtor who was making demands that seemed unusually harsh. We contacted Mr. Smith's office and faxed a copy of the letter to them. After meeting for a consultation, we were glad to hear that the letter did indeed overstep the boundaries and after a phone call and response from Mr. Smith's office, we were able to reach an amicable conclusion with the debtor. Mr. Smith's office staff was very professional and accommodating. We highly recommend them.

We had received some threatening letters and phone calls from creditors who we just could not pay at the time. The rough economy and my wife being laid off made it impossible. Mr. Smith's office contacted the creditors and made arrangements so that we could keep them off our back and yet didn't have to file bankruptcy either.

My wife and I were referred to Mr. Smith by a friend of ours who had filed bankruptcy. We went to see him and he and Gayle was who we worked with and they were great in helping us through this tough time. I would recommend him to anyone who is fighting debt problems.
