Very quick on calling you back. Free consultations. After you find other counsel they will make sure you no longer need there services and will reach out to you no matter weekend or time of day . I cannot express how the process works if you obtain them but I can say that during the process of calling and consulting etc there very helpful.

When I say that Barnes & Fersten was my saving grace this year, I am not exaggerating one bit. I experienced one of the most difficult periods of my life this past year, and I will be eternally grateful that I was fortunate enough to have these amazing people there to help me get through it. Brandon, John, Lauren, Tim...the whole team were exceptional from beginning to end, and even simply knowing that they were there throughout this helped me mentally so much, and by the end I had complete trust in them. I had never been through the process of hiring an attorney or going through legal issues before, and was therefore completely clueless when I began looking for an attorney. I found Barnes & Fersten through looking at Google reviews in-depth, and their reviews were excellent. This is one reason I'm choosing to leave a review, to hopefully help others who are in the process of finding a good attorney, and I promise, these people are the best. The pricing in comparison to many other good attorneys was very reasonable as well, especially considering how far above and beyond they went for me as a client. Every cent spent was much more than worth it. It is not only the amazing results that Barnes & Fersten achieved for me, but also the way that they smoothly handled everything the entire way through. Communication is very important to me, and their communication throughout was impeccable. Not only were they always available and consistently great about getting back to me with answers and information, they also communicated in a very welcome straightforward way. They were always clear and concise with the information that was being presented, and never once misled me or attempted to sugarcoat anything. They also did an amazing job of coming up with alternate and creative solutions when we ran into roadblocks in the case, and never stopped going above and beyond to find the best ways to achieve the best results possible. Barnes & Fersten is a very professional and reputable group, while also being down to earth "real people." I'll never forget what a comfort it was to see Brandon walk in the courtroom and immediately have other attorneys and people related to the court welcome him with a smile and conversation. When your attorney has a good connection and is respected and liked by others within the court, it is a good sign, and it certainly made me feel more confident in my choice of attorneys. None of them ever made me feel "looked down upon," or judged, or anything along those lines, either. This meant a lot to me, especially as I was very nervous going into this. They simply listened, retrieved the information needed, and we came up with a plan together. I was always treated with kindness and understanding regardless of the situation or who on the team I was speaking with. I could go on and on about how great Barnes & Fersten is in every way, and how much they helped me, but I'll stop here, hopefully helping people in the future who find themselves in similar positions. No one wants to be in the position in which they're searching for an attorney, but I promise that if you are in that position, you will not regret choosing Barnes & Fersten, PLLC. They honestly helped save my life in a way, and I can not praise them enough.

Sorry it took me so long to wright this review, to bad that is all i can give, as they deserve so much more. At Barnes & Fersten you are treated like much more than a client ,You are treated like family. Lauren is the greatest at answering all the questions you may have. They always get back to you in a very timely manner. Before your case goes before a judge, Brandon has already done his research and knows every contingency for your case. And in my case knew what the judge and DA would do before we got there. Not only did he get my case dismissed, he will also get it expunged from my record. I can't recommend these guys enough. If i am ever in the area i will drop by and say hi, and maybe take you to lunch. Again thanks you so much!!!

After issues in TN, I needed legal counsel to assist asap. They were the only office to actually call me back quickly and had me on the phone with a lawyer within an hour. First i commend Attorney Oscar Butler on a job well done. Being outside the USA he kept me updated on the case every step of the way. The customer service received from the entire staff that i interacted with at Barnes and Fersten was excellent. I would definitely recommend them, and they would be my first choice if i had a case in the future.

My lawyer was John Barnes and he did not do anything he said he would. He lied to my face about what he would do for me. His “plan” that he told me about, the facts he gave me, were all lies. I’ve spoken to everyone involved in my case and every piece of information he told me was not true. I even fired him in the courtroom just to be coerced back in the room for him not to defend me. I would not trust this man with my wallet, much less my life. Thanks for fleecing me for nothing. You don’t practice in Blount county, TN? Then why would he take my money and represent me so poorly? It was another court date that should have been moved. And because he didn’t do what he said I lost custody of my child. I fired that man in the court room for gross negligence and then he talked me back into the room. We can go pull the court records and put them in this review too. It’s already public record, I really don’t mind. You want to tell me you don’t practice in that area again?
