I’m sure Mr Azevedo has some expertise with law, but I can certainly say with confidence it is not family law in Knox county. I initially retained Mr. Azevedo for a family law case in 2021. My high net worth cause his attention very quickly, but my case was quickly passed on to one of the junior associates, Abigail Ruiz. Despite several appointments it was not until some time I realized Ms. Ruiz was in fact a licensed attorney and not a paralegal, as our encounters were strictly data collection and she was unable to answer any questions about my case. Mr Azevedo seemed timid and hesitant to engage on my behalf despite repeated dirty tactics of opposing counsel, and seemed resigned to the fact my case was lost. I terminated my agreement with Mr. Azevedo and retained alternative counsel that not only won our case, but with a better result than I initially proposed as my ultimate goal. To add insult to injury of the experience that was my brief relationship with Landry & Azevedo, I received a notice of unpaid balance nearly 2 years after completion of my case for 4 figures worth of junior associate data collection. This was certainly an unwelcome surprise as there were no prior notices. In summary, Mr Azevedo and his staff were inattentive to my needs as a client, used their junior associates to accumulate unnecessary charges, and were remarkably pessimistic about my case which was easily won with other counsel. I would advise anyone considering this law practice to look elsewhere. If your opposition has retained them, I would wish you good luck but I doubt you will need it.

Took 10 tries to actually speak to someone other than an intern. Was repeatedly told they would get in touch with me but I had to call back every time because they never did. Cost 5x the initial estimate. Lost my case. Would not recommend.
