Did not do what he said he would. Lied to me in the face and then got belligerent when called on it. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone.

He was assigned to my child's dad's case regarding DCS as a public defender.. HE DID NOTHING. He literally started walking out of the courtroom when our case was called. He did not recognize our name as his case, and didn't recognize his face as a client. He has failed my daughter and her dad. Completely.

My review is pretty much like others on here, I gave Ward 4100.00 for divorce, and he did nothing. A year after paying him, I was still married. He had every excuse under the sun as to why he couldn't proceed ...he was sick, his mom was sick, death in the family, covid, his wife was sick and on & on. He never followed through with anything, would not return calls, he is rude, he will talk down to you, he is just not a nice person to work with. hindsight is 2020, I should have read his reviews instead of listening to "His Friend" I seriously handed him $4100 and walked away with absolutely nothing. BEWARE!

Went to mr. Ward to handle my divorce. Paid a retainer of $6000 and was told it’s none refundable if we decided to not go through with the divorce. These was very little communication. Then my ex stopped his process and when I asked me. Ward to continue with the processing on my behalf he released me as a client and still kept the money.

I would like to say this first. I stopped my divorce ONCE.
With that said, we have been at this for 2 years now. I am the mother of a disabled child. I caught my husband doing meth in my house, and after that there were a lot of eye opening experiences that I went through. My bills not being paid. Never having any extra money to do anything. The weird way my husband was acting. He was coming down or going up. I told Mr Ward of these experiences. I also showed him needles in the yard, plastic tubes, batteries that had been saved. All things I didn’t have a clue about until it was to late. I explained that my husband had sat at the house for over a year without a job. And when he did go to work he went through some pretty nice jobs that if he is who he said he was he should still be working there. All that said. The many times that we have had to go to court this time in general session was the worst. My attorney told the judge that we had separated all of our material possessions and we needed to go to arbitration. Well if we have separated everything, why are we having to go to arbitration? And then told me that I was going to be held in contempt of court and I needed to save up some money he would be billing me. I would be held in contempt because of cutting his water off. Not months before the courts told him to pay me so much a month to live there. Which I have yet to receive any money’s from him. Who needs to be held in contempt? And furthermore, the water was cut off to the entire yard after I received a bill from poplar grove for well over 2000. Yes OVER 2000.00. He did not offer to pay or help fix the leak even though he was living there and using the water. When I stopped the divorce he had told me he was going to pay so much a month then, and he didn’t but that order was stopped by me. Then Mr ward decided he could live there for less. Look through your papers Jeff.!! So to me this is all coming down to money. There is no JUSTICE, just deceit. Arbitration is something that lawyers reach out to each other for more money. This I was told by someone that works in a lawyers office. We have nothing to arbitrate over. We never bought anything together he was to busy spending money on drugs or booze. So there is nothing here. But just like the other lady said in her comments, yes, it feels like he is for the other client. I paid Jeff well over 2000.00 and this is how I am treated? And he never recognizes me, he has to call my name out loud and me stand up before he even knows who I am.😞😡
