Let me explain fully why I give this rating. I was injured at work. It was caused by improper maintenance done by my employer. Specifically it was a rear roll up door on my work truck that disconnected and fell on me. I had written up about this door many times. I had been told it was fixed many times. After being out of the truck for about a week while there was an attempt to fix it yet again, the door disconnected and fell on me causing a concussion. I was taken to Vanderbilt by ambulance. Afterward I was told to call John D. Drake Law Firm. Getting a lawyer was something that was never in my mind. I love my job and the people I work with so I did not see a point in getting a lawyer or going after them in anyway. However I wanted to feel protected as well and I knew having a lawyer at your back would at the very least provide a peace of mind. I ultimately signed a contract with this firm. I was told such positive things over the phone and in person about what would be done on my behalf (seeing a 2nd doctor atleast) because I am still having severe head pain. Pain I never once had before the injury. However, about 2 weeks after signing a contract with John D. Drake Law Firm I was informed by letter that there was nothing more that could be done for me. No phone call to explain how everything we had discussed during the contract signing could no longer be pursued. I spoke highly about John D. Drake Law Firm to other lawyers who called me back about my situation and wanted me to meet with them. I told 3 of them that the character of Mr. Drake was what drew me to him. I told them if I signed with anyone it would be him out of respect at the very least, since he was the first law firm I spoke with. Yet what I recieved from the law firm was just a letter. I called just to confirm that I read the letter correctly and Mr. Drake answered and the call was short and cold, longer connection with me. I needed a lawyer who would hold my employer to doing what is right. After this injury I am not the same person I was. I didn't feel the Worker's Compensation doctor really listened to me. I was hoping at the very least I could see a 2nd doctor for treatment. Not one referred to me by the insurance company of my employer! I needed a lawyer who would fight for me. John D. Drake Law Firm was not that lawyer.

John is an awesome attorney! He tells you what he requires, you get it accomplished, and you will receive results. I hired him last minute, but his expertise saved me. He is a down-to-earth, about his business type of guy, and overall a great person to work with!

Mr Drake reviewed the documents of a pending case as part of his free consultation policy. Informed me that I did not need to retain him based on the documents and even offered to provide me with post trial document review if needed. Mr Drake is extremely professional, prompt and helpful.

No words could describe how thankful I am to hire Mr. John. He is so knowledgeable with the Law and most important thing that he believed me on my case and really worked hard to get me out of it. Thank you Mr. John!

Last year I sought professional legal council for the first time. John Drake decided to represent me at a very fair price, lower than I've heard for similar cases. I thought that might be a red flag at first but happily that was not the case. My court dates were drawn out and John was dilligent in dealing with the prosecutors and even though the case didn't turn out to be as "open and shut" as we expected, he always was very professional, and in good spirits! In the end he was able to negotiate a fantastic plea deal, and helped save me from what could have been a much rougher sentence. I was happy to have him on my side and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a defense attourney.
