I had a Tennessee hand gun carry permit application denied by Homeland Security because they said I was disqualified due to a felony from 1996 in another state. My charges had been reduced to a misdemeanor, so I didn't know why it was denied. I went down to my local General Sessions Court to inquire and show proof that my charges had in fact been reduced. Little did I know that the clerk was going to set up a date for me to sue the State. The clerk said I should get legal advice on whether I need an attorney to represent me. My neighbor, who is an attorney, recommended Joey Fuson. I gave a call and he and Paige got on it right away. When the court date arrived, I met with Joey, and he had already had a conversation with the D.A. and said the State would sign off on the permit if there were certified copies from the other state showing the reduction in charges. Turns out the other state involved was somewhat unresponsive, and took a little while to produce the documents, which was not too surprising since the case dated back 24 years. I did receive regular updates from Joey, Paige and Nicholas. Flash forward 5 weeks, I received an email from Nicholas stating that all documentation had been received and Tennessee Homeland Security had updated my application to Approved! I am so pleased to have chosen and worked with Joey Fuson. He and his stellar team worked hard to help me with my hand gun carry permit issue. I really could not recommend them enough. Facing criminal charges is an anxious and worrisome experience for anyone. Being a non-resident of Tennessee and facing charges in the state, those feelings were even more heightened. Don’t think about it. Do it and you won’t need to worry for a New York minute that your best case isn’t being represented. It’s a good feeling to sit in the courtroom and be proud to know that it’s YOU that has the attorney that’s THE attorney. It was effortless and worry-free for me because every avenue was explored. My best goals were met. My outcome was the outcome I prayed for and it still has me floored with nothing but gratitude, admiration and respect for such tireless efforts on his part to represent. He always kept me informed, I was at ease. I never had questions or concerns that I carried around and as a human, he’s so very sweet, kind spirited and reassuring and genuinely cares.
