Pros
1
Highly knowledgeable and thorough approach to estate planning and probate matters
“A very knowledgeable and thorough approach to estate planning. We were guided through the entire process and Shelly and David answered the plethora of questions and gave endless explanations as we learned the entire process and Tennessee laws.”
2
Excellent communication and client service
“Matt was so helpful with our situation. He explained everything in terms we could understand. He answered all of our questions. I cannot say enough how grateful my family is for his help. So very nice.”
3
Efficient and effective in handling complex cases
“Highly recommend this firm. They have a full staff of paralegals and associate attorneys for digging up discovery and facilitating tasks and correspondence. Matt Potempa was my attorney, and he was excellent. He was very professional while also sympathetic of my situation. He worked with me on a very complicated case that most attorneys would not have bothered to take.”
4
Personalized and caring approach
“Jennifer and Katie were beyond great in assisting me with my mothers estate after she passed. Their patience, empathy and extensive knowledge of what I needed to handle this, exceeded my expectations.”
5
Highly recommended by other legal professionals
“I refer my large estate and trust clients to Dave Heller on the regular. If there is a will dispute - Matt Potempa is the man! This is a great firm with great attorneys! As an attorney, I'm happy to highly recommend this firm.”
Cons
1
Delays and lack of communication in some cases
“Great service, but curious if normal not to hear from lawyer since first of August and estate had last court date.havent a clue what happening or if still have atty.”
2
Concerns about billing and unexpected costs
“Let me start off this review by saying my first experience with a different attorney from Martin, Heller, Potempa & Sheppard, PLLC was amazing. Unfortunately, my experience using Adam Barber was a complete nightmare. He dropped the ball on several occasions. To begin with, he forgot about my case for several months, then sent out correspondents with spelling errors and inconsistencies and made things much more confusing and expensive than necessary.”
3
Potential issues with specific attorneys within the firm
“Mr Potempa and Mr Hausman took my case 15 months ago and Mr Hausman could not keep his facts straight. I've paid them almost $11,000 to gain absolutely nothing. Mr Hausman cost me 15 months of valuable time and money by arguing with me under a false premise that my opponents fed him and he didn't even bother to confirm. When I tried to bring attention to that and discuss my billing, Mr Potempa decided he did not want to discuss it so he left me high and dry just yesterday with no notice and no representation at a crucial time in our case.”
