Ms Gentry is the best ever! She is worth every dime and will work hard for you! Having Amanda represent me was the best legal decision I have made. Giver her a call and see how awesome she is.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve had dealing with any “professional”. I was a paralegal for years and worked with and dealt with plenty of attorneys. None were like this! I spoke with Amanda only one time briefly before the trial and she was in the middle of a big case so she wasn’t as attentive. I emailed her before my trial to see is she needed anything from me or needed to meet. She said no (This was a visitation case and I hired an atty because previously the judge would not hear anything I was trying to say and I could not fail my child). Amanda came walking in after trial was supposed to start and sat away from my sister and I, because she was working on another case. She was so unprepared and her focus was on a “bigger” case. She even asked the judge to step out to call her office about a different case. She had no idea it was a trial (I told her that when we first met) and how unfit my child’s dad was. My child is in therapy because of his dad but the judge ruled on the fact they we were BOTH great parents. I paid Amanda every dime she asked for without question and I couldn’t afford it. When expressing my concerns with her she wasn’t even apologetic. She couldn’t hold herself accountable. She made it a yelling match. She even made the statement “I hate to say it, but this is what happens when you lawyer up”. Technically I didn’t have a lawyer present. She kept telling the judge “well I had no idea” and “I just recently got this case” (she had it for over 2 months). Amanda ask my child’s dad one question “what county do you stay in” and she asked me a few, but it’s what I wrote on her pad during trial. She told me she didn’t know anything about my case because I didn’t meet with her. Told me she is available every Saturday for her clients. How was I supposed to know that if I’ve never been told? Even when I asked her before trial, she never mentioned it. I’m disappointed that money I didn’t have went in her pockets for nothing. However, I’m more hurt because she failed my child. Exactly what the title says. I've had dealings with attorneys for years for business and never have struggled so hard for communication. We even scheduled a set time to chat, confirmed the time in two emails and then was stood up and never really got an apology or any acknowledgement of the issues it created. I always like to feel that maybe an interaction happened at a hard time (End of 2020 and we're all stressed) but when you are dealing directly with things that have profound effect on someone's life, good communication shouldn't be a compromise.

Amanda Gentry does the least amount of work possible for a paycheck. And please don't try to contact her in an emergency situation that requires legal advice passed 5pm on a Friday or you will receive a snarky text reply from her that states "Well, it's 5:10pm on a Friday, there's nothing I can do for you." Even you simply require a "yes" or "no" response. This includes Saturday and Sundays! Hopefully any legal advise you may need occurs on her designated time clock or you will be made to feel like a fool for contacting her. She's harsh and rude, and not just toward her defense (which would be beneficial) but, worse, even toward her own clients. Having never been to court in my life for any legal matter, she made me cry and almost fire her on the spot after the realization that she came completely unprepared and not knowing anything about my domestic abuse case prior to the court date. She suggested I take a deal that couldn't have been worse for my well-being and the well-being of my child. I declined proposals against her "legal suggestions" until I finally felt I had an offer worth presenting. (I decided to have my own back and find a new lawyer moving forward.) If you like to be talked down to, and belittled for your lack of knowledge of the legal system, she may be right for you. If you want someone to believe in you, support you, and win for you, (not just convince you to take a deal so she can clock out), do not hire this miserable woman with a criminal law degree.

I met Ms. Gentry approx. 2 years ago through my work in the legal field. I was immediately impressed by Ms. Gentry's ability to put one at ease, her grasp of legal issues, and the fact that she returns telephone calls promptly. While I have not personally used Ms. Gentry's services, I have referred 2 others who did hire Ms. Gentry, and they are extremely satisfied with Ms. Gentry's representation.

Ms Gentry was very thorough with respect to our legal representation. This was my first time hiring a lawyer. I was very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend her. I hope to never have need of her services again, but I would not hesitate to call her again if needed.

Ms.Gentry is a helpful, understanding professional who helped me through a difficult time with ease. She is a strong lawyer, doesn't play games she did exactly what she said she was going to do. I would recommend her to anyone seeking legal representation.
