My husband and I bought a car from a used car dealer in early 2024. Obviously it didn’t go very well! After months and months and MONTHS of waiting to get our title, (we truly gave them way too much patience) we finally decided it was time to proceed with legal action. My wife and I purchased a truck from a used car dealer located in Ft. Worth, Texas. The used car dealer represented to us that the truck had its catalytic converters. After purchase, we discovered that the car dealer lied to us. The truck did not have catalytic converters. Further, we learned that the dealer never had the truck inspected before selling it to us, which they are required to do. Not having a valid Texas State inspection kept the dealer from transferring the title of the truck to my wife and me. I purchased a vehicle from a fraud dealership in Garland, Texas. I paid a down payment and financed the rest with a bank. One day the bank notified me that they were no longer the lien holder and made the fraud dealership take back over the note. When I asked the fraud dealership about this, they told me to continue making payments on my note but to send the payments to the them (and not the bank). Meanwhile it had been 6 months since I purchased the vehicle and I still hadn’t received my title or tags. Something did not seem right. I’m a firefighter from Kansas. I originally saw Matt when I was having trouble getting title from a dealership on two vehicles I purchased in Texas. A year later, I discovered that the dealership rolled back the odometers on both vehicles. Matt discovered that the dealership washed the titles of my two vehicles in order to hide the true mileage.
