Donna Smiedt was recommended to me by a dentist friend of mine. He himself had been through a few divorces and knew who was good and who was not. Not only is Donna incredibly proficient at what she does professionally, She is a very compassionate caring and helpful person as well! Donna Smiedt was my lawyer and handled all of my needs. My divorce case was contentious from the beginning. Donna and her staff were instrumental in the success I had in the outcome. When there was a lot of activity at the beginning, she was always prepared and beyond capable. Not only did Donna adeptly handle the maneuvers of the opposing counsel, she counseled me on how to think of what was going on, what to think of myself in this time, and also encouraged me along the way. She also kept me focused on what was important and helped keep my emotions from getting the better of me. Donna was able to get a successful outcome from a temporary protective order, restored visitation with my children, and worked to get me an MSA and final order that I was satisfied with. She went beyond this and helped with errors that opposing counsel introduced in the final order. There was nothing more I could ask for. Donna and her staff were helpful and are why I have already recommended her to others who are going through what I went through.

Ms. Smiedt was able to help my husband's case with his child's mother. She explained all the laws carefully so we would be able to understand our rights and the child's mother's rights as well. A couple of months after our case was over, an issue came up that they both didn't agree on and Ms. Smiedt took our call and was so understanding that things happen after the fact.
