Matt Watkins who works for Smith/Vinson was my lawyer for a DWI I had gotten in May 2019. He is very professional and always answered my calls or called me right back when I had question about my case. He always kept me informed on anything new that come up. I caught a DWI charge with a ClassA cdl. Matt done everything in his power to help me out and in the end. He helped me out tremendously. Probation to me sounds better than jail time and a suspended driver license for God knows how long. I highly recommend him if your in a bad pinch and needing someone who’s experienced a very affordable. Great job Matt. I truly am greatful.

Brent is an amazing attorney. I recommend him to any and everyone. He is very professional and has your best interest at heart.
Brent did everything in his power in his case for me as well as keep me in the loop every step of the way. I was never confused about what was going on and was always prepared for the next step in the process. He also went above and beyond explaining everything in legal terms to me. Further, when reading the documents Brent prepared for responses to other attorneys and for the court system, it was obvious Brent knew what he was doing, well qualified, and did a lot of homework about my case individually and other similar cases to properly handle the case.
Brent also unlike a lot of lawyers does not bill on the retainer for any and everything and nickel and dime the retainer. He respects his and your time and only charges very fairly.
Again, I highly recommend anyone in need of a lawyer to use Brent, he is 5 out of 5 stars.

I recently used Kevin Bennett's services and I could not be happier. I originally sought his services, but did not think I could afford them. I naively thought a court appointed lawyer would be a better option as I haven't had to deal with the law before, was a commuter student and money was very, very tight. That was a mistake.
The appointed guy barely knew my name and presented "a deal" to me that was alright, but still seemed a bit harsh--a practice I later learned was called "Meet'em and Plead'em" by some. I asked him to talk to the DA again. An hour later he comes back and says he asked and nothing changed, but you could tell he was lying because I had to remind him of what I asked him to do. A week after that decision, Community Impact ran a story about how those lawyers get paid; the court provided lawyer's effort reflected what I read.
At that point, I decided I desperately needed to hire Kevin Bennett. He was my first choice and I had a good feeling about him. He graciously took my case and was able to get it dismissed. We will be working on expunction soon. He was constantly available--even when I would respond to an email well after work hours. He had a vast knowledge of the law and what was doing. You can tell he knows how to navigate the DAs office. He was always prepared and meetings were on time, to the point, and no bs. Mr. Bennett puts his clients and their needs first. You will not find that quality with a court appointed lawyer. Do yourself a favor and get the good lawyer the first time. Get Kevin Bennett on your side.

Can you say DIMISSAL?!?!? I was represented far better than I ever could have imagined by Taralynn Mackay and her associate Ashley. Almost immediately her confidence and professionalism put me at ease. She made a very stressful time in my life manageable with her kind words of encouragement and priceless advice. Taralynn is thorough and knowledgeable of her craft with a compassion for people which makes her very relatable. Also her prices are reasonable for the service that is rendered. I appreciated her keeping me in the loop of every little step that needed to be handled to move my case forward to absolute success. I recommend her 1000%!

This review is for the outstanding legal advice and services that I received from Taralynn MacKay, JD. Ms. MacKay helped me with a situation that struck out of the blue with regard to my nursing license in Texas and consequently also California because of downstream effects. Due to an administrative error my multi-state license was restricted. I am a nurse educator an travel nurse and frequently see patients outside of Texas. This was terrible news. It turns out that I had a stipulated order from the Board of Nursing in Texas. It was for something minor and I did not question it. I never figured that it would be a big deal if I just fulfilled the order and went to the classes.
When I got the notice from the Board and completely had a melt-down, I called Taralynn. It was the weekend so I did not expect a call back but I did receive a call first thing Monday morning. She reviewed my case with me and we entered into a very fair-priced agreement for her to assist me. She laid out the plan that she would do on my behalf and clearly laid out the expectations she had of me.
I received a call from her later the week after our initial call and she told me that she felt that the stipulated order itself was in error and she was going to petition the Board for rehearing and removal of the order itself. I didn’t even realize that was possible, but Taralynn did.
We recently received word that the Order was removed and my license was restored fully. This is a HUGE weight off my shoulders. Even if the case had not gone as I wanted I would still be writing this review. I am a nurse! Legal issues are as foreign to me as auto mechanics. Taralynn made things easy to understand, she managed my expectations well and GREATLY EXCEEDED my needs for legal representation. If you have ANY questions about your licensure, please don’t try to do it yourself. Getting help from a professional is not as expensive as you think AND if you lose your license that IS expensive. Taralynn MacKay is a thoughtful, professional, brilliant, forward-thinking nurse attorney that I truly felt was advocating for me. Thank you Taralynn.
